Chapter 30

"Kamusta buhay asawa teh?" Xyv suddenly asked.

I'm already in the mall with my gagang friends and papunta kami ngayon sa restaurant ko para kumain muna for lunch.

For today, I decided to cook for them before I go and leave.

A last dish before I disappear.

Alam kong pagkatapos nitong araw na 'to ay mahihirapan na kaming muling mag kita-kita. They still got their own jobs and ofcourse magiging busy na ulit sila.

And I, got my own problem to deal with.

"Masaya, 'di katulad ng sayo." I laughed and Xyv glared at me.

"I don't have a husband, I'm clearly single and ready to mingle!" Sagot nito kaya naman agad siyang binatukan ni Eanna.

"Gaga, you're still married hanggat hindi pa na po process yung annulment niyo." Pagpapaliwanag ni Eanna kay Xyv.

"Besides, 'di pa naman ata pinirmahan ni—"

"The papers? Not yet." Xyv cutted Kyn off like she didn't wanted to hear the name of her husband. "Ewan ko sakaniya, he's so selfish."

"Xyv, why don't you give him a chance?" I asked pero inikutan niya lang ako ng mata.

"I love him, Dawn. But 'di ko na kinaya yung ginawa niya. He cheated for fucking's sake!" She said, irritated.

Nakarating na kami sa Restau at agad naman na akong pumunta sa office para mag suot ng toque blanche at mag sanitize bago pumunta sa kitchen.

After that, inisip ko agad kung anong lulutuin ko ngayon. After all, It has to be special as it's the last dish that they would eat from me.

I prepared a 4 course meal today. Chili Lime Shrimp Cups for appetizer, a Classic mushroom soup, Roasted Rack of Lamb with Roasted pumpkin and Chickpea salad as an Entrée and for the dessert, I prepared a simple blueberry creamcheese crepe.

I tried to be quick as I was serving the dishes, hindi na muna ako nag abala na makisalo sakanila dahil nga gusto kong ako ang magluluto ng lahat ngayon para sakanila.

"Hey!" biglang lapit saakin ni Kyn kaya naman tumingin ako saglit sakaniya bago iplate ang last dish which is the dessert. "You haven't eaten anything yet, kami lang inaasikaso mo." Nagaalala niyang tanong ngunit nginitian ko siya.

"I'm okay! I just wanted to cook for you today." I smiled, reassuring her. "Sige na, sit ka na ulit don! I'm just finishing off the dessert."

She simply sighed and nooded, walang magawa kundi bumalik nalang sa upuan. Ghad she still haven't changed, para parin siyang nanay kung mag alala! pero malandi rin yan wag papalinlang.

Since last na nga ang dessert, ako narin ang nagserve sakanila non.

"So, how was your meal?" I asked them as they eat the blueberry crepes.

"We were not impressed," Umaktong nanghihina pa si Xyv kaya inukutan ko siya ng mata. "Char lang, gaga!"

"Passion mo talaga pagluluto noh?" Parang amazed pa na sabi ni Eanna sakin kaya natawa ako sa itsura niya at tumango.

"The dishes were so good, promise!" Kyn chuckled and pull out her phone. "C'mon let's take a picture!"

Lumapit naman ako sakanila and we were all smiling in the camera. Inistory iyon ni Kyn and tagged us kaya naman ni repost nalang namin.
