Dillion Scott || Mysterious Guest

The Sallow pack was different then I expected, not that I had a clear picture on what I thought the pack grounds look liked. It was mostly just rumors I had gone off, though thinking out it, I think peoples perception of Elias heavily influenced what they thought his pack looked like.

The pack ground it self, much like Elias, it was protected like Fort Knox and hidden deep in the forest. It took a good twenty minutes of gravel road before we arrived to the military grade gates. The pack ground it self was very clean and organised, it almost looked like something out of a movie.

We pulled up to what I assume was the pack house, since it was definitely the largest and most extravagant out of the houses I've seen. "Different then what you expected?" Keenan asked as we got our of the car. It was a silent hour ride from the airport to the pack, apart from some small talk from Keenan. Elias slammed his door closed as he stormed off, disappearing inside. Keenan just sighed as we got our bags, shaking his head before offering me a tour.

Inside I could definitely see Elias's personality shine, being it was all very cold and museum like. Everything was white, grey and chrome, there was very little warm tone colors. The house didn't really looked lived in, it was spotless and a bit clinical.

The layout was quite similar to back home, the bottom floor had an large open plan lounge area, dining table and kitchen. The second floor was divided into 5 guest rooms, which resembled mini hotel rooms, there was also conference rooms and the main offices for Elias, Keenan and a few others. Third floor was suppose to beta family's apartments, and top was the alpha family's penthouses

Keenan had built his own home down the street so the third floor was where I'll be staying for the next fortnight. The apartment was huge, with its own office and two spare rooms. "It's going to be weird living by myself" I commented inspecting the kitchen. That was a big difference between wolves and humans. The only time you move out is when you get mated, it not like we move out at eighteen just for the sake of it.

"Well don't get to use to it." Keenan stated turning to face me, I raised an eyebrow, not really knowing how to take that comment. "You don't have the option to walk away and he knows it. So push back. Don't get use to this arrangement, fight it. Elias is terrified of you, because you are the only person that can tare down every barrier he tried so hard to build." Keenan stated seriously, his hand gripping my shoulder. "Dinner is served down stairs at seven, get your self settled" Keenan said softly as he walked past, leaving me with my thoughts.

I don't know how I managed to get here, considering it was never Elias's plan to bring me to his pack after his stay. Maybe in the future but defiantly not now. When Josiah suggested it, Keenan brightened slightly asking me if I would be okay with it. After agreeing hesitantly, Keenan somehow managed to get Elias to agree to the arrangement. I know Elias wasn't particularly happy with it but I'm here so I guess that's what counts.

Caleb who had walked in during the exchange, was very much confused and shocked at the news that the Elias Sallow was in fact my mate. I didn't feel like explaining the whole story or the fact he wants nothing to do with me, so I summarized it vaguely before changing the subject. It worked for most of the night but he did end up bringing it up again, also bringing up a few concerns he has for me.

What Keenan said actually gave me a bit of hope that if I do this right then, there could very well be a 'we' in the future. I gather that it's not going to be easy and I'll be met with a ton of resistance, but there is hope that I'll get somewhere. The thing I'll have trouble with is putting all my effort into someone that doesn't return anything. I know later on the relationship will even out a bit but it's still a tough battle, that for once requires purely my own determination.
