CHAPTER 3 (PART 2): NEVER HAVE I EVER
29 DAYS BEFORE JULY 13
I WAS WATCHING a rerun of Friends when I felt my phone vibrate. My eyebrows furrowed. I received a message from an unknown number. Curious to see what it was about, I paused the series I was watching and opened the message.
+639569876543:
Are you okay?
Me:
Who's this?
+639569876543:
Parcival.
For some reason, it felt odd talking to Parcival. We weren't close; our relationship was more of like an acquaintance. I saved his number, but I didn't know what to reply, so I didn't. I was about to resume watching when he sent me another message.
Parcival:
So? Are you okay?
Me:
Why?
Parcival:
Saw the vid of u fighting with the other chick.
I rolled my eyes. Of course he did. The video went viral in our school. Who would want to miss watching a catfight?
Me:
Duh. Don't I look like I'm okay?
Parcival:
I guess I should've asked that to July instead, you beat her up pretty bad.
I couldn't help but smirk at his comment. I admit, I am a sucker for compliments. Considering Parcival's personality, it never crossed my mind that I would be receiving a compliment from him.
After cutting the rest of my classes in school earlier, I went home and decided to just spend the rest of my day watching Netflix. Kanina habang nasa Guidance's Office kami ni July ay tinadtaran kami ng councilor ng sermon, but the good thing is nagbigay lang siya ng warning saamin at pinaalis din kami after.
Halos ilang oras na ako nanonood so I decided to call it a night. Saktong kakapatay ko palang ng laptop ko ay muling nagvibrate ang phone ko. I received another text message, except, it wasn't from Parcival.
