When I woke up, the first thing I did was grab my phone. I wanted to check on Ashton, see if he was felling any better. I really hoped he was. I saw that I already had a message from him and I smiled "Happy Christmas babe, Hope you get everything you could wish for. I've got you so I'm happy enough :) Love you xxxx" it read.

'Shit, it's Christmas' I muttered to myself. I quickly replied to my text then grabbed a jacket and left my room.

I jumped down the stairs to see my mum and auntie sat with a coffee in the kitchen.

'Well good morning, we've been waiting for you' Sophie smiled

'You should have woke me up' I said

'It's Christmas all day, there's no rush' she laughed

I ran into the living room where there was a big pile of presents and I gasped like a child. I scurried over and sat myself down in front of them and my eyes lit up. I didn't know which one to reach for first.

'Hurry up, I want to see you open them some time today' my mum said, laughing

I picked up the one closest to me and pulled at the wrapping paper until it was fully uncovered, then after that I grabbed all the others and tore at them.

When I was finished I sat and smiled to myself, I had gotten so many nice things.

'Thank you mum, thank you Sophie' I smiled, getting up to give them both a hug

'You're very welcome sweetheart' my mum smiled 'Don't forget, we're up early tomorrow to go and see the rest of the family and you'll have more presents then'

I grinned at the thought of more presents, when I probably should be excited about seeing my family. But I was looking forward to that too.

I handed them both their presents off me and they slowly opened them and smiled. I had got my mum a 'Mother & Daughter' photo frame with a picture of us in for her to look at when I wasn't here. She looked at it and she smiled lightly ans put it to one side.

'Is that it?' I asked

'What?' she questioned

You're not even going to say thank you or anything?'

'Alright, thank you' she said

'Well it doesn't really mean much when you had to be told. You don't like it do you?'

'Of course I do'

'No you don't. I got that as a reminder for when I'm back at college but you obviously don't care' I said raising my voice.

'I don't need a reminder of my daughter Jade. No I don't mean it like that, I love it'
