I wanted to make an effort for this meal. I wanted to look nice for Ashton, so I had a good look through my wardrobe.

I looked at my usual outfits but they were nothing special. I opted to search for something that would surprise him other than jeans and a shirt.

I picked something out and mentally nodded at it before hanging it up and setting up my curlers and make up ready for when I needed them. It had been a while since I had made an actual effort because I knew Ashton loved me weather I made my hair nice or just left it, so I was hoping to blow him away later.

I skipped downstairs to double check where we was going to make sure I wasn't over dressing but I was told it was a 'surprise' but it wasn't a McDonalds or KFC so I could dress nice. Good job I had intended on doing so.

I sat myself down at my desk in my room and started applying make up.

I spent a lot longer than usual on it but I didn't go too over the top. But I did spend a long time on my hair, whenever I did make an effort, my hair was my priority.

As I looked up to have a final check on my appearance before putting my outfit on, my eyes flickered to my college timetable that was stuck above my mirror. Only a few days left before I had to go back. I took a deep breath before turning around to get changed.

I had picked a lilac dress that fitted tightly across my chest with a crossed back and the bottom flowed out. I was never really into wearing dresses but when I did, I quite liked them. I pulled on some small heels before heading downstairs to wait for Ashton to arrive.

My mum gasped at me as I entered the living room. Shit. I knew it was too short.

'I'll erm... I'll go and get changed' I muttered and began to turn around

'No, no don't. You look beautiful' she smiled

'Really?' I questioned

'You little stunner, you'll knock Ashton off his feet when he arrives' Sophie laughed

I shook my head and laughed at them

'He'll be wanting to get you home as soon as possible, if you know what I mean' Sophie winked.

My mums faced dropped and she lent out and hit her arm 'Excuse me, that is my daughter'

'What momma know doesn't hurt her' Sophie whispered loudly to me.

Wow I could've died on the spot with embarrassment. I kinda wished it was true but nothing could happen with them home anyway.

I sat in silence as I waited for Ashton to arrive. He'd text me saying he was on his way over so he would be here any minute.

'Shit' I whispered as I shot off my seat and ran upstairs to get my present for Ashton

I ran back downstairs just in time for a knock at the door. I stood to catch my breath for a few seconds before walking over to the door and slowly opening it.

'Hey babe I- wow' he said and he raised his eyebrow 'you look... amazing'

I looked down and blushed before complimenting him. He stood before me wearing black skinny jeans with black converse, a white shirt and a blazer.

'You look amazing yourself, handsome boy' I smiled.

He smiled and I noticed him blush a little before I reached out and took his hand and pulled him inside.

'This must be Ashton' Sophie cooed as she skipped over towards us 'Hello Ashton, I'm Sophie, Jade's Auntie'

'Hello' he smiled. He seemed more nervous than usual, more nervous than I'd ever seen him before. I squeezed his hand lightly and smiled at him when he looked up.
