I froze where I was stood for a few seconds. Should I sit with him? He sat with me before. But maybe he was sick of me and wanted to find someone new to speak to. People were walking past me walking into the classroom and getting their own seat.

'Jade?' Ashton said 'Are you okay?'

'Erm... Yeah' I answered.

He just smiled and patted the chair next to him, motioning for me to sit down. That's sorted that. Thank goodness.

For the rest of the lesson we started looking at the First Word War. I was sat there pretty bored because I already knew all this stuff, so I just stared out the window. As Ashton was to my right and he was next to the window, I could also see him. I kept looking away from the outside and to him for a few seconds. He was staring at the board and seemed to be taking it all in. His jawline was perfect; I just wanted to touch his face. Wow I'm weird. I shouldn't even be thinking like that, I haven't even known him for a day. But like he said, we were friends now and that made me smile. Physically smile, not in my mind and Ashton turned his head to look at me and whispered 'You do know you've been staring at me for a few minutes now? Aw look you're even smiling. What are you thinking about me? It is about how beautiful I look from the side?' he said giggling.

See! This is why I can't like him. Arrogant idiot! Yeah he was right but that annoyed me even more.

'Ha! No, I was looking out of the window. Don't be so full of yourself you creep' I said elbowing him in his side.

'Yeah yeah, okay' He said and winked at me again.

I just sighed and looked towards the board, pretending to concentrate. Shit, that was so embarrassing. For the rest of the lesson I sustained from looking to my right, even to look out of the window.

When the bell finally went at the end of the day I packed all my things and headed out of the classroom and Ashton was stood beside me.

'You don't have to run away from me Jade' he smiled

'I'm not running. I just want to get home, I'm tired' I snapped

'Alright calm down' He said and laughed 'so where about do you live?'

'You wouldn't know even if I told you. Plus why would I tell you when I only met you this morning?

'I didn't mean your full address down to the house number, I meant area silly. Maybe we could walk together?' He shook his head and looked down at me.

'Um, I turn left when I get out of the gate and go down that long road for about 10 minutes and I live around there.'

'Nice, I live just past there. We can walk together.' He said as a big grin emerged on his face.

That's all I needed. As hot as he was, I wanted to keep my distance from him because I probably would fall for him and he's an idiot and not my usual type at all.

As we walked I saw a lot of people from school looking at us, probably wondering who Ashton was. I saw a group of 3rd year girls stop with widened eyes while one whispered 'wow he's hot'. I know Ashton heard it but didn't react. If he heard me say he was hot he would tell me that he knew he was and that I love him. Why wasn't he saying anything now?

As we were walking he started asking me about my family. I told him that I was an only child and never really saw my mum that much due to her busy work schedule and seeing my grandmother so often. He looked quite sad when I told him that.

'I couldn't live without my mum' He said 'sounds sad but she's my best friend. I honestly don't know what I'd do without her. I see her as much as I can. I'm sorry you don't see your mum that often.'
