i find it funny
how you can knock out
quicklyand i'm up all night thinking
eyes wide open
oceans brimming
the borderswhile you rest
soundlyas you lie
limbs swaying
with closed eyes to the skyit's funny how most days
i can't even get out of
bedweighed down
by these heavy rocksas i sit there
in the deepest depthsbeing scared to be bitten
being scared that
i would be eaten alivewhile you are on cloud nine
you are being kissed by the sunwhile i am being burned at stake
you are letting yourself
be submerged
into the softest parts of the sandand i'm still complaining
about it being in my ears
and the days where
only i am talking to the moonyou are missing out
on all these wonderful conversations
about lifeand the times
where you are
sleep talkingyou are alone in your
very own dreamlandbut just like the eclipse
when we are together
embraced in the others armsthere is no better time
than at that moment
because the nights
where i'm wide awakei am able to close my eyes
and whizz away past
all these cloudsbecause the days
where you're missing
out on all of my conversationsyou are able to
passionately speakgold running in your blood
as you move in excitementand when we lay
back stroking through the ocean
we find ourselves
entangledlike we've practiced
this in advancemaybe it was
falling for you
that helped me sleep
this time.
