Hi, thank you for reading, "The Dawn of Us"!
After writing these poems for a year, I can finally say that I'm proud of it. I didn't expect most of these troubled verses that were written nor did I expect the pain that came along with it. I thought it would be about typical drama, possible new loves, and a lot more of the normal things a student would go through. But it wasn't and that's okay. It was all the writings of someone who is mourning, who is angry, and trying their best to move forward with their life. It became something more than I intended it to be and that's the best part. Art comes unintended, sometimes.
I hope you were able to enjoy the love I put into each of these poems and you were able to gather your own meaning out of it too. I hope it meant something to you in its own unique way.
To those who have our stories in my poems,
The good ones and the bad ones, thank you for giving me stories to write of about. Some of these poems are eulogies of our now finished relationships, while others are poems of ones that are continuing to flourish. You have given me a resting place during the storm and some of you, are the storm. Thank you for all of it. I hope one day I will have the courage to admit these things to your faces, but for now I will only write them for you to read.Once again, thank you for reading.
Feel free to follow me at any of the tagged accounts below, currently there is nothing on my poetry/art account but I will be posting things soon.
