Note: This story takes place one year before Set This World On Fire. For all of you out there<3(:

Rebecca and Beau stumbled through the school door, barely keeping their balance. They woobled as they entered, clumsy and slow. Rebecca held on to his muscular arm, and held her balance one step at a time. Her hand slid accidentaly across his body onto his chest and she could feel his biceps pumping beneath her hand. She started to blush furiously, a wide smile spreading on her pretty face. She felt Beau looking directly at her, but she stared at the floor in silence. Rebecca let go of him and dusted her clothes with her hands. She coughed awkwardly.

"How is it we've never seen each other?" Beau asked, as people passed them with curious eyes, as if they were somehow entertaining.

"Um, considering this college has like 40 people per class and we all have different schedules, I have no idea." Rebecca added a sarcastic cherry on top of her comment.

Beau smiled at her. " Well I'm glad I did, after all." He leaned in towards her face, and Rebecca's heart thumped like a crazed drum. She could smell his soft Hollister cologne that embraced her. He stared into her brown eyes and started... laughing?

He exploded in laughter. "Oh man, you thought I was getting all Romeo on you weren't you?" He held his stomach with his hands. Rebecca looked at him, her face blushed red. Her smile gave way to a chuckle, that then transformed into a loud laugh. Beau seemed confused about her laugh, and seemed to want to lean in again, but it was only for a second.

"Come on, prince charming." She said this last pair of words with a mocking regal tone. She interwined her arm with Beau's. "What's your first period?"

"History." He answered with a smile, as he pulled her closer. Rebecca smirked at him. "Yours?"

"English, but I suddenly feel like History." Rebecca smiled wider as they walked down the hallway to their lockers, both laughing at some joke Beau had just said. People passed and looked at them in confusion, because they were like sunshine in a dark place.

Maybe Beau did not show it, but he felt his heart beating faster and faster everytime she smiled.

                                                                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I GOT AN A!" Riddhi danced on the hallway, her arms swinging in the air, gripping a paper page with a gigantic red A on it. She shook her booty once in a while and laughed to the air.
"Congrats." Kate said with a smile as Riddhi showed her exam to passing strangers. They just looked at her as if she had some rare disease. She just stuck out her tongue and laughed at everything.
Daniel put his books back in his locker. "Can someone explain how we go to almost the same classes and all, and we hadn't met?" He grabbed his Algebra book, that was coated in bumper stickers with smiley faces and random phrases like "Cheese puffs are my shit."
"Um, well, I'm not exactly the most popular person on the planet." Kate shrugged, her eyes smiling up at him. Daniel scratched the back of his head with his hand. Riddhi stuck out her tongue at some passing girl.
"But you're beautiful and cool..." Daniel paused as he smiled up at her shyly. Kate smiled back, widely and happily.
"Oh you." She hugged him from the side, pulling him close as she laughed softly. Daniel, whom was being hugged like a teddy bear, smiled at Kate endearingly. He returned the hug, his muscular arms wrapped around her protectively.
"Oh me." He replied happily, his smile widening as he pinched Kate's cheeks suddenly.
"WHAT THE-" She yelled as he grabbed her rosy cheeks with a smile. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"
