Karigan had been cornered. She had never had a single drop of alcohol enter her mouth in her entire life, but there, with guys towering over her and shoving a tequila shot into her hand, she was sure her clean reputation would come to an end. They were the type that could break your head with their pinkie, and seemed to eat small children for breakfast. James had left for the bathroom 5 minutes ago and she had ended in this awkward situation. She considered herself the unluckiest girl alive.

"Drink it." The guy on the left ordered her. Tried to stick the glass shot on her hand, but Karigan resisted the smell of alcohol that tried to get inside her nose. She pushed herself further back onto the wall and had a worried look on her face.

The guy at the right smirked cruelly at her. "Drink it, babe. It'll bring the party to you." He winked at her, but instead of feeling flattered, Karigan was intimidated and scared. She sunk under her shoulders and could feel the dread filling every inch of her body.

"If you don't drink it, I'll make you." The guy in the middle, with the tanned and big muscled threatened softly with a cruel smile. He shoved the glass once more into Karigan's hands. But she did not take it, and the smile on the guy's face turned into a frown. She shook.

"Oh, so you won't?" He looked at her, his face now expressionless. His smile came back in a cruel curve across his face, as he started to close his hand on her cheek, to force the liquid down her throat.

But Karigan reacted.

"No! No! I'll do it." She snatched the glass out of his hand and slowly brought it close to her lips, the motion ever so slow, as if someone had just frozen the image and pressed play and repeated the process all over again.

The perverted looks of the guys brought Karigan to her boiling point.

She smashed the glass against the middle guy's face. Blood dripped off it, even though his face was so robust the smash did not affect his vision much. As the two remaining guys drived their arms towards her face, she ducked and pushed against the bleeding muscular third guy, who had his hands on his face, protecting his eyes from the shards of glass.

Karigan darted across the club, hiding from the pursuing gigantic guys, blending in with the dancing crowd. They seemed to lose sight of her, and they also entered the thick crowd of people. She saw them enter, and they all moved to the rhythm of the music, blending in with the rest of them. Karigan was expelled by the side, her body liberating the tension as she realized the guys were still trapped inside the dancing crowd.

Bump.

James stumbled as he bumped into Karigan, who had just suffered from a mini heart attack. She looked up at his worried eyes, and grabbed his hand. She could see from the corner of her eye, that the guy who had been hit with the glass had recovered, and was strolling around the club, searching with his eyes for the runaway Karigan that clung to James's hand like her life depended on it. Well, in some way, it did.

The guy was coming closer and Karigan began to panic.

"James." She placed a hand on his cheek to pull his gaze towards her. "James I'm being followed."

He looked at her with crazy and understanding dark eyes. "What?" He replied a little too loudly. Karigan shushed him and continued talking.

"That muscular guy over there." She motioned with her head, ever so slightly, so no one would notice she did. Her head tilted lightly and came back to the position it was originally.

James wasn't so careful. He turned his whole head to face the guy. Fortunately, he was looking elsewhere, because if him and James had locked gazes Karigan would have been found and probably worse things than that. She used her hand on his cheek to move his look back onto her face. Their eyes locked again.
