"No, no, please, no." Isa pleaded, as he grabbed her neck with his thick hands.
She could feel her breathing start to become heavy, as she struggled to maintain her head clear and filled with oxygen. The hands were pressing on her neck, and she could feel the blood pumping up to his muscular and pale fingers. Her fingers fumbled as she tried to get a grip on the blankets on her bed, which were scattered about.
She could feel her skin going cold and pale, the temperature and warmth leaving her body as she tried desperately to breathe. She could feel his hands closing on her neck, tighter everytime. He looked her in the eyes, as he became warmer. She could feel darkness pressing it's cold fingers on her face, and everything seemed to be a fuzzy and distant dream that had begun to slip away.
Two eyes watched her.
One red. One black.
They were cold and dead, painless and dreadful. They had no glimmer of life in them, as if he had been trapped in a living body. They were filled to the rim with madness and wrath, they were wide open and looked into her soul. They were angry, she could tell, and they were coldblooded. She felt her throat closing as he watched her, his eyes almost laughing cruelly.
"You know I can't stop." His voice whispered, raspy and possessed with madness.
She could feel the darkness closing in on her, the sparkle in her eyes slowly leaving as he watched with pleasure as the life left her body.
"Ple-eh-ase... Sto-oh-op... Ple-eh-ase..." Isa choked on her own words, as she stuggled for the breath to say them.
She felt sleepy.
His hands gripped tighter on her throat, and the fuzzy dream seemed to come to an end, as she started to fall asleep.
"Goodbye."
The last thing she saw were his eyes...
Slowly laughing.

Isa woke up sweating and breathing heavily.
She felt anxious, her head swirling, sitting up. She felt nauseous and filled up with dread and fear of something she had no knowledge of. Her eyes were wide open with pure and plain fear. Her heart beat like a bull against her ribs. She remembered that face. Those eyes, so familiar...
She felt like she was burning up.
Isa grabbed her blankets tight until they crumbled in their hands. She held them tight against her skin, feeling the smooth texture of the fabric under her fingers. They sweated with intensity against the pumping of her blood into her palms.
She could still feel his hands on her neck. She still had difficulty to breathe.
She could feel the darkness, everything was fading, for a moment. A slight second. Then it came back to normal.
She could feel something was wrong.
So very wrong.

Luke had his feet on the ground, as was usual.
Beau had gone out with Becca, they had gone out to a movie. But Luke suspected that they wouldn't be watching it more than they would be kissing each other. Beau had a peculiar way of making out, well he didn't exactly do that. He loved to play with the girl's hair and look her in the eyes and just kiss her softly on the chin, forehead, nose and last on the mouth.
How did Luke know this?
Well he had ended up in some pretty awkward situations himself.
He sighed and opened the window, letting some fresh air in. It his his face like a slap from a cold freezing hand. He closed his eyes until they were half open, and his curls were pushed by the wind sideways. The metal of his piercing became cold, and he felt his head swirling.
He could see the towering apartment building over the horizon, and cursed because he was so far away from it. Or in his head, her. Luke was thinking about her, all the time. Not because he had some sort of attraction to her... Or so he wanted to convince himself. But because he wondered what it was like to feel as sad as she did.
He wanted to make her happy, desperately. And he had no idea how.
He thought about Jai. He also had gone out, only he had left with Riddhi, and they were going to go shopping. Luke noticed Jai was happier than usual, smiling about everything and his eyes sparkling everytime he laughed. He hadn't been this happy... since... well... never. Jai had never been one to be sad, but the last few days he had been just...
...Merry.
Luke did not know what to think. He felt just blank. What was this supposed to mean? He had never felt so protective for someone in his entire life. No one had made his friends happier, either. He thought about everything at once.
He watched happy couples strut down the street, hand in hand, looking at each other as if no one else existed. Luke always said being single was the best, but in the bottom of his heart, he could feel the need for someone who understood him.
Enough of that zen thought Luke reprimended himself.
He was utterly bored.
He shut the window, cutting the wind and his thoughts with it. He hated to become all deep, because it made him feel sad. He remembered things...
He walked about his room and snatched up his phone. His fingers slid onto the metal, and it was also cold. He punched in some numbers and pressed the phone to his ear, to hear the soft beeping of the dialing as he walked into his living room.
The TV was turned on, Beau probably forgot to turn it off.
He could hear the ringing of the phone next to the news cast's voice.
"On today's news we bring you the most amazing stories."
Beep. Beep.
"Hi?" Isa's voice was soft on the other side of the line. She didn't seem alright, but then, she wasn't alright always.
"Hey." Luke sat on the couch and reclined on the armrest. He ran his fingers through his curls and smiled at himself. "How are ya?"
"I'm fine... How about you?" She sounded sad. But she always was, wasn't she? Luke wanted to see her, he didn't know why.
"Um, are you free right now?"
"Yeah... Am I not always?" She said, her voice laughing slightly, but Luke knew it wasn't a friendly joke.
"Can you meet me?" He asked.
"Sure... Why?"
"I want you to have some fun." Luke smiled as a thought popped in his head, giving him a fun idea of what to do.
"Murders have increased in the West Zone of the country..."
Luke turned his head towards the TV. Why did the word murder always capture his attention? Something about the way it sounded...
Then he saw it.
The photograph. On the news.
He could hear Isa softly breathing on the other side of the line.
He felt the phone slipping from his hand and landing on the couch.
What was wrong with the world?
