Where there was stupid and idiotic fun, there was also Becca.

Beau was laughing madly as she asked someone to marry her with a candy ring. The guy she was asking looked at her as if she was mad and smiled slightly. Maybe the white veil she was wearing topped it off a little bit. The guy was muscular in a white tank top, short black hair on his head and a lip piercing on his mouth.

Becca was biting her lip hard not to laugh.

"You know you wanna." She shook her candy ring as the guy smiled at bit wider. She grinned.

The game was, you had three chances to ask someone to marry you. If he/she said yes, even just once, you won. But if you did not succeed in the task, you lost, and had to face the consequences, that meant you had to get a punishment. And when you were with those guys, you didn't want them to put you up to one.

The guy looked at her with laughing dark eyes. "Yeah, sure."

He accepted the candy ring and laughed as he left a veiled Becca on one knee with a triumphant gleaming look on her face. Beau grinned at her as she picked herself up and walked towards them, slowly taking off her veil.

"No one can resist the Becca charm." She smiled at him, and he high-fived her as she came close up to them.

Jai was starting to get nervous. "Okay, this is my last chance."

Riddhi was barely containing her smile. She wanted desperately to punish the guy, well, put an embarrassing challenge on him.

A pair of brunettes walked past them in the craziness of the mall. Jai snatched the veil out of Becca's hand and placed it on his head in a hurry.

Jai arrived on one knee in front of the girls, whom giggled at him. "Will you marry me?"

He had the veil's fabric in his face, that covered up his brown sparkling eyes. The girls looked at his muscular arms that stuck out of his white tank top.

"Sure, and you can take me out for drinks on my honeymoon." The taller brunette grabbed the ring that Jai offered, and pressed in on her finger. She bit her lip and smiled at Jai, whom blushed and looked at her, not knowing what to do.

Riddhi froze up too, just comparing herself to the girl that stood tall on the ground. She didn't consider herself the most beautiful girl on the planet, but right now she didn't feel even close to her normal self-esteem.

And yet, in Jai's mind, he thought Riddhi was a thousand times more beautiful.

"Uh, sorry, I'm taken." He answered, shrugging.

The girl looked at him as if he had just gone crazy. "Then I'm getting a divorce." She walked away, the other girl whispering things in her ear and the girl just nodded.

Jai stood up, dusted his shirt and turned his veil right. Then he walked up to the group, with a slight smirk on his face.

"Does that count? She left with the ring..." Jai placed his arm around Riddhi's shoulders and smiled. She looked at the ground, just thinking.

"Sure, you're still married till the divorce comes through." Kate said, with Daniel hugging her from behind. He had his chin on the top of her head.

"Well, yeah." Jai said, smiling. He looked weird with a veil on his head.

Luke had an impulse. He ran up to Jai, and picked him up, like a baby in his strong arms. He began running away from them, and Jai made no resistance to him carrying him.

"He's mine!" He yelled, the echo of his voice bouncing around the mall.

"OH NO YOU DON'T." Riddhi protested and ran behind them, as Beau laughed and ran behind her as well, followed by Becca, Kate and Daniel.

Isa smiled slightly, as she watched all of them chase each other like mad men around the large mall full of people. She stood there, not wanting to run behind her friends. She felt like she didn't belong, even though they all had been so nice to her the last weeks.

Yeah, she had enough of the trust issue bullshit, but she couldn't help it.

It was in her brain, and she couldn't fix it.

She sighed and pressed her hands into the pockets of her black jeans. She wore a grey beanie, that fell on the back of her head. A white T-shirt with black letters covered her chest.. She had a black sweater on, to cover her arms.

She couldn't think straight.

She didn't want to care, but instead she felt guilt inside her. After all, she knew what was going to happen soon.

She turned around, just to lock eyes with someone she thought she'd never see in public.

A hooded stranger was staring right at her, his eyes piercing her skin with his look. His arms were muscular, hidden beneath a thick black hoodie. He wore black pants, that made him look like a gigantic shadow in the environment filled with colors. He looked at her with those eyes that sent chills down her spine, making her stomach twirl and her body fill up with dread.

One black. One red.

Isa did not know what possessed her that moment, but she ran up to that man, itching to just venge herself of what he had done. She wanted to make him suffer as he had made her mother suffer. Make him see her wrath, her anger, her thirst for vengeance. As she came close to the man, he began to run forwards into the mass of people.

Oh no. He wasn't going to get away.

She was going to make him suffer.

Isa ran behind him, as she chased him into a crowd of people. She could see him sneaking into a corner, and she almost hit a passing-by man that shouted at her as she gave a sharp curve. She ran into the corner, and saw his feet running right, around a curve that led him into a store that was filled up with people.

She ran behind him, her feet working as fast as they could. He was running out of the store just as she entered, she could see his silhouette exiting with impressive speed for a human being. She avoided the people as they popped up in front of her like daisies. She almost scrash a few times, but she hung on to her body and kept running.

She exited the store and looked sideways. All she could see was the mass of people surrounding her, like bees in a hive. She searched with her eyes, but she could find no sign of the mystery man who had killed her mother and haunted her like a ghost. She cursed at the air under her breath and wanted to pull her hair from the roots.

She had wanted to kill the man.

What was wrong with her?

She turned her gaze to an electonic shop in front of her. There were TVs on display, that showed the news. Many discount stickers were pasted on them, and red ribbons adorned them, trying to persuade the people to buy them because they were old and used. She could barely see what was happening on the screen, but she could make out some pictures.

Some photographs.

Of a dead body.

That looked exactly like her stepmother.

Except the body had been shot, straight in the forehead.

Of course, she already knew. And so did Luke.
