Wanwan's POV
What...? Did he just say... he likes me?? Nah, I'm pretty sure he just means he's worried for me, like how he worries about the rest of us... Unless..
After he said that, Ling's face immediately turned red. Realising the situation, I blushed too. He let go of me and turned around, covering his mouth with his hands.
"N-No! It's not what you think! I dont like you that wAy! I'm just saying I'm worried for you!J-Just like the others! Yes! I'm worried for them too!" on he went, trying to explain himself. For some reason, this was quite a sight.
"My, my. To think the Great Assassin of Cadia Riverlands can get so flustered..." I said, teasing him. His face got redder as I said that. Man, this guy is cute when embarrased. Wait, wtf am I saying?
Wow, I am sure feeling sorry for this guy. To save him from embarrassment, I decided to change the topic.
"Anyways... Zilong said something about the person I fought with. Do you know who it was?" I asked him the first question that came to my mind. I was actually eager to find it out.
Relieved, Ling heaved a sigh of relief. However, his face turned serious again. Heck, the atmosphere turned serious. So this means the person I fought with... is no joke.
Baxia's POV
Oh. My. Gosh. I was right all along! YASSSSS! I can't believe our beloved assassin is falling for our marksman! It's really happening! Yes!! This is what I've always wanted!
Suddenly, a voice interrupted my thoughts and startled me. "Baxia, what the hell are you doing?" I turned around and saw Zilong, severely judging me right there on the spot.
"What on earth are you doing, squatting down beside the door?"
"I uhm... had to tie my shoelaces?" I said out of panic. Man, I suck at lying.
"What the- You were eavesdropping on their conversation?!" he said.
"No! Well yes. bUt! What I heard is extraordinary!" I exclaimed, grabbing his hand and dragging him away so that those two wouldnt hear us. I dragged him to the garden, where I finally let go of his hand.
"Baxia! What the hell?!" he shouted, rubbing his poor wrist.
"Heh, sorry. Listen to this!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Holy shit! Ling likes Wanwan?! And he confessed to her?! Did I hear that right?!" Zilong shouted.
"Yes, yes and yes! You heard me!" I replied. "Alright, now we gotta plan the wedding."
"Omg, let me help with that. So, the venue. It should be around-"
"What the fuck am I hearing?"
Crap.
We both slowly turned around, expecting it to not be who we thought it was. However, it was. Standing there was Ling, and beside him was Wanwan. Ling looked disgusted, and Wanwan had a blank stare on her face.
"H-hey there! Didnt hear you! As expected of our assassin, right Zilong?!" I said, rather too loudly. Zilong got what I was trying to do and followed me. Too obviously.
"A-ah yes! Wanwan! Shouldnt you be resting now?! What are you doing out here?!" he said, literally screaming. God, save us.
"Actually, I went to get more food for her since she threw them onto the floor like a spoiled baby." Ling said, pointing towards the dining hall. "However, she insisted on following me because she doesnt wanna rest."
"Hey! I'm not a baby! And I wanted to follow because the room stinks! I cant breathe there!" Wanwan said, pouting.
"Excuse me, but your wounds are not healed yet. I dont want you clinging onto me the whole way. And I dont wanna carry you, you're heavy!" Ling said back to her.
Wanwan's cheeks puffed. "Heavy? Rude!" Those two continued to argue back and forth.
Zilong whispered to me, "Man, they even argue like a married couple."
As soon as he said that, both Wanwan and Ling turned their heads to us.
"What?" they said in unison, staring daggers at us ( Gusion where you at)
"Nothing! Hey! You said you were headed to the dining hall?! Its getting dark, so lets have dinner together!!" Zilong said, desperately trying to change the subject. Eventually, we all agreed to have dinner together.
As we walked towards the dining hall, Wanwan was clinging onto Ling's right arm, bothering him with many questions. Ling looked terribly embarrassed and I could spot Wanwan blushing. Not wanting to interrupt the moment, I looked straight ahead.
"Baxia! As our tank, protect the damn marksman! Why dont you carry her?!" Ling shouted at me. I wanted to refuse, but I think I've already made him mad enough, so I agreed and let Wanwan sit on my shoulder.
"By the way, wheres Chang'e? Is she not having dinner with us?" Wanwan asked.
"She's at town, playing with Nana, Harith, Lylia, Harley, Angela, Cyclops and Diggie. And Miya and Alucard are looking after them, so she'll be back safe." Zilong replied to my question.
"Oh, I see"
"Basically she's with the Midget Mages" Ling said.
I couldnt help but laugh. "BHAHAHA. Midgets?! You're so funny, Ling!"
"Wtf-" Ling stared, severely judging me.
Before I knew it, Wanwan and Zilong joined in. They started making jokes and laughing at each other. Ling didnt even smile, but at least he joined in on the conversation. Wow, I love this squad. I would risk my life for them. :D
