"Wanwan! Get a hold of yourself!!" Ling said as he blocked every one of her incoming darts. She continued to leap from side to side, not stopping.
"Hah?! What are you talking about?! This is me!!" she scoffed at him and motioned to herself. Without hesitating, she leaped towards him and started a hand-to-hand combat.
"Whats wrong, Ling?! Too weak to fight me now?! Who says a marksman cant fight?!" she exclaimed gleefully, throwing him punches and kicks.
Tch, its like what Zilong said! She's under control! Ling thought to himself while trying to block every attack.
Wanwan kept attacking him, not giving him even a second to breathe. He only took steps back, restraining himself from hitting her.
"Oh? Why arent you hitting me?? Are you scaaared?!" she mocked him, giving him an innocent pouting face. She finally decided to stop hitting him, waiting for his answer.
Ling only stood still, catching his breath. He looked up at her, staring into her bright yellow pupils. Those eyes he clearly remembered from the very first day he met her.
"I... I cant hit you.." he said. This made Wanwan confused.
"Hah? What was that?!"
"I dont want to hit you!" he shouted.
Wanwan was taken aback by what he said. Soon, another severe headache reached her, making her groan in pain. She shut her eyes tightly and grabbed the sides of her head, trying to drain out the pain. She looked up at him, her face different.
For a moment, her face was back to normal. Her pure, beautiful yellow eyes shone brightly and stared into Ling's pink pupils. Her eyes were full of sadness, guilt, confusion, many emotions.
"H-huh...?" Wanwan stammered. Ling could see tears starting to form at her eyes, though she didnt wipe them away. She just let them fall. Fall and splatter all over the ground.
"What do you mean...? Why wont you..?" She asked him, taking a step towards him.
"I dont want to hit you... because-"
Right as he could finish, a loud roar interrupted him. Seconds after, Baxia was flung at Ling, making the both of them fall.
"What the hell, dude?! Get off, youre heavy!!" Ling said, trying to push the heave tank off of him.
Baxia stood up quickly and offered a hand at Ling, to which he accepted. "Not my fault! This fricking Black Dragon is in our way!" Baxia pointed at the Dragon, who was dealing with Zilong.
The Black Dragon managed to fight off while surrounding and protecting Yu Zhong at the same time. No matter how many times they charged towards it or no matter from which direction they attacked from, the Dragon would effortlessly sweep them away and toss them around.
"At this rate, we're doomed!" Baxia exclaimed, panic in his voice.
Ling smacked Baxia's cheek, trying to knock some sense into him. "Oi, listen here dipshit. Who the hell pathetically gives up like that?! Tell me who!" he said.
Baxia stared at him, trying to get his thoughts together. He shook his head, finally getting his thoughts back. "No one. We cant give up."
"Exactly."
"Pfft, yeah. Guess a person like you cant tolerate failure at all."
A voice behind them interrupted them. They looked back and saw that Wanwan was back in her evil state.
"Like tha failure of your Dragon Tamer, right? Who knew they could lose like that." Wanwan taunted, a smirk forming on her face.
Flashes of what Ling saw passed through his mind. Masha burning to death. Valir unable to breathe. Kimmy getting crushed. Estes getting stabbed.
He tried to get rid of those, but failed. The anger and hatred in his heart began to slowly grow. Wanwan took advantage of this and continued to taunt him.
"Just pathetic! And to think youre the only survivor!"
"A person like you?! A traitor?!"
"You all couldnt even defeat a weak dragon, for fuck's sake!!"
Ling covered his face with his hand, trying to stable his breath. However, his breath only became more unstable by the second.
"Yall Dragon Tamers are useless!"
Shut up...
"Weak beings!"
You dont know anything...
"Failures!"
That was it. Ling snapped.
His eyes were full of hatred. Exactly what Wanwan wanted to see.
Ling gripped his sword tightly as ever, staring at Wanwan and ready to attack any second. He want himself.
"Ling, no! Stop it, you know that isnt Wanwan! Yu Zhong's the one-"
"Shut your damn mouth."
Wanwan's smile grew wider. She was so eager to experience some fun with her favourite person, and it was finally happening.
Both Wanwan and Ling charged towards each other at the same time, weapons ready.
