Third Person POV

Still half-asleep, Wanwan rubbed her eyes while walking out of the room. It was a nice and calming Sunday morning. The birds were chirping merrily as trees rustled in the wind.

When she entered the living room, she found out she was the last one to wake up. She saw Baxia preparing food, Zilong feeding Chang'e and Ling on the couch, reading a book. She was still sleepy, considering she barely had any sleep last night.

As she took a seat at the table, Chang'e chirped, "Big Sis! Your ankle is all better!"

Wanwan was caught by surprise at the little girl's sudden words. She processed what she just said, and just realised she made it to the room without limping.

"O-Oh, yeah... Thats nice!" Wanwan replied.

Baxia set a plate of eggs and bacon in front of her. (talk about Mom Baxia huh) Wanwan thanked him and gobbled down the food. She overheard what Zilong said to Chang'e.

"C'mon, Chang'e. Why dont you give your big brother a kiss?" Zilong said, trying to get his little sister to show some sort of affection towards him. Chang'e refused and continued to play with her bunny.

"Kiss..." The word made Wanwan feel weird. It was like she's experienced something like that. Her memories were foggy as she was trying to remember last night.

"Ling, why havent you eaten?" Baxia shouted. Seriously though, he can give out mom vibes.

At the mention of his name, Wanwan immediately remembered everything that happened last night. It was the night she finally confessed, the night she saw him smile.

The night he kissed her.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Wanwan screamed before running back to her room, knocking down flower vases on her way. Everyone stared in shock at her sudden outburst. Only Ling was unaffected as he continued flipping through pages.

As Wanwan slid her door shut, she dived into her mattress, under the blanket. She rolled around here and there, trying to get the scene out of her mind.

"No, no, nononono! T-That wasnt real right?!!" she repeated many times in her mind. She remembered the warm, soft lips that came into contact with hers. The way he looked at her. God, it was too much for the poor little girl.

A knock on her door made her abruptly stop rolling about. She stayed silent for a while, praying it wasnt the person she was thinking of. Unfortunately for her, it was.

"Can I come in?" Ling asked from outside.

Wanwan hesitated, thinking deeply whether she should let him. Ling didnt wait for her answer and just opened the door casually, making Wanwan dive under her blanket once again. Her face was red like a tomato.

After shutting the door, he made his way to the cowering girl. He sat cross-legged on the floor beside the mattress. He stared at her for a while, not knowing what to say. Then, he let out a sigh.

"Am I... making you uncomfortable?"

She jolted out of the blanket, face still red. She doesnt want him to feel like that because of how she was acting.

"N-No! Of course n-not! Dont think like that!" She refused profusely, waving her hands in front of his face. Ling still wasnt convinced.

"Hm, really?" He asked, uncertainty in his voice. He stared at her messy bed hair. Obviously, it wasnt put up in her usual bun hairstyle.
