The ground shook so hard, everyone on the platform was knocked up. Zilong looked up in surprise at the person he thought he hated.
"L-Ling?! What are you doing here?! And what the HECK are with those horns?!" Zilong asked mostly in curiosity rather than anger. Right now, he had no reason to be mad at Ling, especially at a time like this.
"Fight now, talk later." Ling said, grabbing his 4 swords. A 'tch' escaped from Zilong's mouth, but he followed what he said.
Wanwan stood rooted to the ground, staring at the figure in front of her. She trembled, her breath becoming unstable. Her fear grew as he took a step toward her. He stopped when he was just inches from her.
He stared into her eyes, dead serious. "Who are you?"
Wanwan tried to find words to answer, but failed. She trembled more in fear as he looked even more intimidating than before. But that wasnt the only reason she was afraid.
She remembers him. Who he is. Why she loved him.
"I... c-cant..." She managed to stutter out, slowly lowering her crossbows.
All of a sudden, the Reverse Scale in between her chest glowed brighter. Ling quickly stepped back in case of any sudden attack. He watched as she struggled, groaned and grunted in pain, clutching the sides of her head.
It was like she was having a flashback. It was as if memories of some sorts rapidly passed through her mind. Just like the one Ling had not too long ago.
However, she only looked back at him, the anger in her eyes indescribable. Her eyebrows creased even more as her eyes grew wider. She panted, beads of sweat trickling down. With a click of her crossbow, she lunged towards Ling.
"Hahaha!! You should be asking that to yourself!!" She exclaimed, shooting her darts at him at a high speed.
Zilong noticed something.
"Wait.. she looked like she was about to recover herself just now... but..." He thought. He remembered the scale suddenly glowing, and the realisation hit him.
He turned his head to look at Yu Zhong. Baxia was laid down on the ground, completely beaten up and unconsious. His shields were all shattered all over the ground.
Zilong flinched at the sight of his teammate and rushed over to help, but came to a halt.
An intimidating, scary powerful aura surrounded Yu Zhong, who was standing still. He faced Wanwan, his eyes following her every movement.
"She's no longer in control of herself... he's controlling her..!" Zilong's mind said.
He shouted at Ling, who was dodging Wanwan's rapid attacks. "Ling!!" he shouted out.
Ling replied, not looking at him. "What do you want?!"
"The Reverse Scale!! You have to break it!"
Still successfully dodging the darts, he answered, "Huh?! Why should I do that?!"
Zilong looked at the psychotic Wanwan, whose condition only grew worse. Bloodlust in her eyes, she was now screaming loudly every attack she shot. Her attacks got faster and faster, making it harder for Ling.
"Just do it! Trust me!!"
Ling hesitated, but nodded his head. Zilong got the message and made his way to save Chang'e, who was losing to Luo Yi.
"I need to strike at the right time... or else..." Ling thought to himself, staring at Wanwan's eyes.
"Or else you'll die.."
