anxiety and depression: a slam poem

Anxiety and Depression do not pick and choose who their host is.
They don't care if you come from a good life, a good family, or a good state of mind.
They feed off of you,
Making you think these impulsive and compulsive thoughts.
They leech off of your happiness,
And twist simple thoughts into something more.
Something that is toxic and vile that a person can't handle by themselves.
They make you hate yourself.
They drown you in the midst of nights.
They don't care who you are.
They don't care about your net worth.
They don't care about how much money you have.
They don't care.
All they care about is making you miserable.
They love feasting off your tears.
They love feasting off your insecurities.
They love feasting off your trauma.
They love feasting off your sadness.
They love feasting off of you.
Until there is no hope left.
Until all of your happiness is gone.
Until they took everything away from you,
Making you believe that all you have is them.
And when you have nothing left,
That's when they get worse.
Anxiety and Depression don't stop.
They never do.
They don't care if you cry.
They don't care if you beg.
They don't care if you plea for help.
They will do anything to choke you.
They will do anything to try and kill you if you let them.
