Chapter 4
Two days had gone normal, doing my daily routine - going to school, learn, and go home. Nothing special happened or even surprisingly happened within those two days.
Trisha's here at my house again and we are currently watching a movie. We've been this close since I stepped out of college and everything seems going to be fine with my life, I guess.
"I got an invitation." Trisha suddenly blurted out looking at her phone's screen.
Hindi ko siya pinansin at nagpatuloy lang sa panonood. She seems uninterested in the movie now that she constantly receiving messages.
"Ohh, it's a birthday party!" she exlaimed happily.
"Kanino?" I asked still focusing on the screen.
"Kay Nash, sama ka ha." closing her phone and placed it beside her.
"Hindi nga ako invited eh." sabi ko na lang
"Duh, Eunice marami naman ang hindi in-invite sa birthday pero pumupunta pa rin because they have acquaintances!" she blurted out.
"It's fine, i'm gonna stay at home all night. You better go and enjoy!" I smiled looking at her.
She rolled her eyes at para bang hindi nagustuhan ang sinabi ko "No! You better come, paminsan-minsan ka na nga lang umaatend ng mga birthday party eh."
"Ano naman gagawin ko dun?"
"Birthday yun, Eunice. Syempre babatitiin mo yung celebrant at kakain tapos uuwi na! Simple." rolling her eyes once more.
"You're being too mean, I don't like it." inirapan ko na nga lang siya.
"Sumama ka na kasi, sige na. Please?" she face me and pouted her lips giving a puppy look.
I don't like her being this persistent when it comes going to a freaking birthday party or any party there is!
"This will be the last one, I promise! You rarely go out of your comfort zone Eunice."
"It's because I'm comfortable being inside" I snapped back.
"Ako na magpapa-alam sa kuya mo, baka nga invited pa yun eh. Nash' family are too well known in town!" sabi niya.
"They are well known for business dealers and all, naku, baka makakahanap ka na ng jowa na businessman at mayaman! This is your chance Eunice!"
"As if." I scoffed at her.
"Basta, tomorrow night. I'll pick you up at 8pm wear something classy" she winked at me and got up from bed.
The movie ended and I close my laptop. "You're leaving?" I asked looking at her stretching her legs.
"Yup. My mom will be home and I'll be screwed if I got home late." she looked at her wrist watch and looked satisfied.
"I'll get going, nasa baba na si Manong Rowel." She kissed my cheeks and get her phone.
Before she finally went out of my room, the door suddenly open revealing Kuya Ethan.
"Nasa baba na ang sundo ni Trisha" he said looking at Trish.
"Bye Eunice, see you tomorrow night!" I smiled at her and bid my goodbye.
Kuya Ethan follow her downstairs and I left alone in my room thinking what will I wear for tomorrow's party.

I picked up a concise black off-shoulder dress just above my knees that fits perfectly in my body and paired it with simple creamy stiletto heels. I think I can manage my outfit just for tonight. I'm not used to heels but I got them from my mom as a gift so better to use them than left them getting old and dusty.
