Final Chapter
"You didn't accept the proposal given to you, that's why I am here to give you another one." Shan said as she sits down on the chair in front of me.
I tiredly looked at her and sighed.
"What do you want right now?" I plainly asked her. Showing no interest at all.
"So you'll going to accept this?" tanong niya habang nakangiti sa akin.
"If that will pulled off the engagement, then yes." Sabi ko at saka bumaling sa kaniya.
She rolled her eyes. "You really don't want to be engaged with me and I can see that."
I looked at her and she smiled.
"Anyway, I need you to do something for me. My father has been busy lately, he rarely eats dinner with me or spends time with me. I pretty sure she has a mistress Kiel and I want you to find that mistress."
She said without looking away.
"That's too childish, Shan. Your father is a busy man, dapat lang na maging busy siya. You're over reacting to things." I said and I leaned on my chair.
She scoffed. "No I'm not! Alam ko kung ano ang pinagkakaabalahan niya at hindi iyon trabaho Kiel. Kailangan ko ng tulong mo para malaman ang mga ginagawa niya! If you can prove it to me that it's purely business then it's settled but if not, you will continue digging his mistress and find evidences to show and prove my dad's mistress."
She raised her eyebrows as she waits for me to speak. I sighed.
"Fine. If it's purely business Shan, this is over. I have more important things to do than this." Mariin kong sabi saka ngumiti lamang siya sa akin.
I did what Shan told me to do, I've searched for his father's whereabouts and everything he does. Hindi naman masyadong busy si Tito Francis lately, may binibisita lang siya na kakilala and to my surprise, he often visits the Graciano's company. That led me to my curiosity. I hired men to find more about Tito Francis connections to the Graciano.
I suddenly found out about the accident happened to Ethan's father and it was connected to Tito Francis doing. He planned to kill Ethan's father by paying men. That's why he got into an accident. He went back to the US to get away from it and remained silent.
I don't what to interfere with the Graciano because it's not my place to do so. I just did what Shanaya wanted me to do and I need to end this as fast as I could for I am wasting my time and effort on her.
"Hindi ako naniniwala na hindi nga siya ang kabit ng daddy Kiel!" she was furious now that I finally proved to her that Ethan's mother is really not his father's mistress. Why can't she believe that?
"You don't believe Arkiel, Shan? Wow, ikaw lang ata ang nag-doubt sa kaniya ever since, huh!" sabi ni Nasher na naka-upo sa aking mini table set.
Tinignan siya ng masama ni Shanaya.
"Well it's not that I don't believe Arkiel or what. I just don't think that he digs deeper on that case, am I right?" then she turn away from Nasher to look at me.
I sighed at hinilot ko ang sentido ko.
"I've already do what you want and that is to find out about your dad's mistress but it turns out that she's not a mistress, Shan."
