baler + first i love you's

you were just both walking side by side at the sea side feeling the breeze of the air from the sea. it's already 5:20pm which the sun is already setting. later on you felt a hand slipping through your arms as it made way to your hand, you looked at it and saw how jeonghan interlocked it with your fingers.

after seeing what he did, you looked up and saw that he was already looking at you, he smiled softly and went back to look at the front while walking. you moved closer to him as you put your head on his shoulders and just walked together again side by side.

later on he stopped walking and puts the towel he brought at the sand and there he sat down, he patted the space beside you and you just pouted at him, "halika na dito, the sunset is already showing." he says to you but you were still pouting at him, he shakes his head and immediately grabbed your wrist and pulled you to sit beside him but then you stumbled and ended up sitting on his lap as you both were just inches closer.

you both was just looking at each other's eyes until he broke the silence, "i won't kiss you unless you give me a consent." he whispered which sent shivers down your spine. you wrapped your arms on his neck and went closer, "just one soft kiss." you whispered back in which he smiled and shared a deep but soft kiss with you.

after you both shared the kiss, you stopped and pressed your forehead on his as you formed a smile. he opened his eyes and looks at you smiling as well he then whispered, "God, I love you so much." his eyes widened and pulled himself back as you just laughed at him.

"i finally said those words... lia..." he stuttered, "you want to hear something crazier, han?" you teased him, he just looked at you still shocked of what he said then you replied, "I love you too." he held both of your cheeks and even checked your temperature as well as his temperature.

"lia...? am i dreaming? ayoko na magising i want to stay like this." he speaks fastly which you laughed again at his reactions, "han, hindi 'to dream, it's real." you said as you pinched the skin on his arm as he winced in pain. "aray!" he whined, "pasalamat ka," he glared at you still rubbing the part you pinched.

"ano? pasalamat ako ano?" you tease, "wala, pasalamat ka cute ka." he mumbled. you smiled at him and stood up as you made way at his side and sat down comfortably, this time you initiated the interlocking of fingers and moved closer to him as you put your head on his shoulder. you felt his head on top of yours as he closed his eyes. you just feel the sounds of the waves crashing together as the sun sets.

you both realized, for years of liking each other, for a year being together before and even after breaking up, it's the first time you both have said those three words to each other. and it's really special.
