avery jeonghan part two

jeonghan was just laughing along with his kuya wons and malia while holding her waist until he felt a little uncomfortable looking around. malia noticed it as she suddenly looks up at him, "hannie?" she calls out as jeonghan was snapped out from his thoughts, "okay ka lang? you seemed bothered." she added as he looked in front seeing that wonwoo and soonyoung was already looking at him worriedly, "uh, okay lang ako i felt like someone was looking at me. i don't know," he stops midway breathing, "instincts." he mutters as wonwoo carried on talking but malia kept stealing glances at him.

later on, he ends up locking eyes with two persons a little distant from them and it was seokmin and avery looking at him and looking at each other as they went back texting— he thinks they were talking about him through their phone, just an assume. he looks back and listens to the conversation until he felt his phone vibrated. he checked who it was and avery texted him.

"i'll just talk to avery." jeonghan whispers to malia as the latter looks up smiling, "ah sige, go. also please tell her catch up kami minsan" malia smiles as jeonghan nods letting go of his hold, he leans closer pressing a kiss on her temple, "sige kuya wons, balik lang ako." paalam ni jeonghan while the kuyas nodded at him as he exited the scene.

avery rests her elbows by the concrete as she looks at the night sky with a lot of buildings surrounding it. she exhales the coldness of the air until she felt a presence beside her mirroring the way she rests her whole body by the concrete. it was a good silence for a few minutes and nagpapakiramdaman lang silang dalawa as if they were back to strangers.

"congratulations pala." avery broke the silence first earning a small smile from jeonghan, "thank you." he mumbles as he interlocks both of his hands moving closer to the concrete kasi medyo lumalamig simoy ng hangin, he looks back at malia as he saw her snuggling closer to her coat, jeonghan can't help but fondly smile.

"you know what's funny?" avery suddenly asks beside him, he was snapped out of his thoughts as he hummed in response, "almost two years na rin and we ended up in good terms naman pero hindi ko alam," she breathed sharply, "parang naging strangers tayo ulit, no offense ha! it's just my point of view with our situation and all— ay sorry dami ko na ata sinabi." she covers her mouth feeling the heat climb to her cheeks. jeonghan releases a breathy laugh covering his mouth.

"no, it's totally fine." he says calming himself, "i'm sorry if hindi rin tayo masyado nakakapag-usap..." he trails off finally looking at avery beside him, "and ayun, i respect your time kasi you're probably busy din i heard kasi kanila jun masyadong hectic schedules niyo lalo na with the court hearings and stuff, tapos ako," he purses his lips before continuing, "i'm studying law again kasi nga hindi ganoon kadali doon." he laughs softly.

avery hums nodding her head, giving him a smile, "alam mo ba," she starts off again, "nakakaproud ka, as in." she laughs with a hint of sadness from her voice, "can i be honest with you, jeonghan? kasi gustong gusto ko lang talaga siya ilabas." there it is. jeonghan expected this conversation actually, the time he locked eyes with her few minutes ago. hindi niya rin naman kasi masisisi yung tao, but he hopes for the best for this conversation to go in smoothly.

"go on." jeonghan replies to her request. the latter pursed her lips first and inhaled before letting it all out, "sa totoo lang? masakit siya." she starts off, jeonghan stays still beside her listening intently respecting every word na bibitawan niya, "masakit nung una pa lang. well kung tutuusin alam ko naman talaga pinasok ko, you were really open before about your past, you never stopped talking about her and i noticed all the little things you see reminded you of her, i get that." jeonghan felt guilty again for how much pain he had caused.

"i'm not saying this for you to pity me, jeonghan. nararamdaman ko kasing tensed ka dyan." she comments looking at him, jeonghan straightens himself laughing awkwardly, "anyway," she laughs too feeling the atmosphere thickens, "nasabi ko na rin 'no? like makita mo lang picture niya your face lits up endearingly. and to tell you frankly, i can't help but smile at you, hindi ko alam if maaawa ako sa sarili ko eh kasi ano, ako yung nandyan pero siya hanap mo." she says with her whole chest.

"i know. i know for two years na pero alam mo ba I regretted letting you go the first time? literally ha, i'm gonna be honest, hindi pa rin ako maka-move on." she laughs looking down at the water below them, "oo na, sasabihin niyo nanaman na i should apply the advice i gave you all sa sarili ko." she pouts at herself, "pero na-realize ko remember when i drove malia sa airport noon?" she asks, jeonghan hums remembering the memory.

"i realized na ano, letting go of you for someone was a good choice. minsan kasi diba, taking a risk could lead you to something you'll regret right after?" she asks for the second time, "diba?" she looked up at jeonghan who was looking down probably thinking of all the things that had happened all these years.

"right." he finally replies after some seconds.

"sa sobrang manhid ko noon, ngayon ko lang narealize kasi onti onti kong nararamdaman na sobrang sakit pala?" she says more to herself rather than talking to jeonghan, "pero i'm sure this time, i won't regret letting you go for the second time." she finally says smiling as she looks up admiring the nightsky. jeonghan saw a tear slipping by her eye as he brought his hand up but hesitated for a bit, instead, he looked for his handkerchief and gave it to avery.

avery looked at him confusedly as she realized that she was already crying, "sorry, nagda-drama na naman ako. may party tapos eto ako nage-emote ang gaga ko." she says sobbing while wiping her own tears. her shoulders were already shaking as later on, jeonghan didn't hesitate as he pulled her into a hug. he softly pats her back respectfully calming her. "i'm sorry. sige i-iyak mo lang lahat 'yan." jeonghan mumbles to her as she cries more.

minutes have passed she backs out letting go of the hug as she reached out for jeonghan's hand holding it, "please don't take this the wrong way ha? aattend pa rin ako sa kasal niyo ni malia." she smiles despite the stained tears in her cheeks, "kala ko hindi ka na susulpot," jeonghan teases patting her head softly, "pero jeonghan i just want you to know," jeonghan raises his eyebrow for her to continue,

"you were one of the best thing that existed in my life, kahit masakit man noon, and alam ko ang pinasok ko, gusto ko lang malaman mo na i never regretted loving such a wonderful person like you." she finally says as another tear slips from her right eye.

jeonghan smiles down at her squeezing back her hand that was holding onto him, "avy?" he calls her out as avery hummed in response, "i'm proud of you too. lalo na sa growth mo as a person and totoo naman sila eh," he laughs, "apply mo yung advice mo sa sarili mo. hmm?" he says patting her cheek, "thank you for existing in my life, avy. sobrang thankful ako sa'yo, and i'm sorry." he lastly says.

"wala naman dapat ika-sorry 'to," she laughs back, "what happened already happened, and besides, it's our own feelings, nasasaatin na lang kung paano na'tin siya magagamit using this," pointing at her mind, "kasi whatever this one has," she points to his heart, "should also be balanced with this," pointing to his mind.

jeonghan saw from his peripheral view that seokmin was walking towards them, "avy gusto ko lang malaman mo na someone's actually there. tingin tingin na lang sa paligid." jeonghan teases as avery playfully kicks his legs, "ulol," she laughs, "take care of each other ha? pag sinaktan mo si malia susugurin kita." she teases back as jeonghan laughs from how witty she is.

she never changed. he thoughts.

"uy seokmin," jeonghan greets as soon as seokmin arrives beside avery, "thank you for coming and, iwan ko na kayo ah?" jeonghan says letting go of avery's hand as he pats seokmin and looks at avery's eyes as if teasing him with seokmin. "sige. thank you ulit, jeonghan!" avery says one last time before jeonghan smiles at her nodding as he mouths back, "thank you too." finally fading from their sights.

"kamusta ka?" seokmin asks from her back, avery breathes before looking back with a smile on her face, seokmin can't help but to fix avery's hair that was covering his eyes and mirror her expression, "okay ka na?" he asks another question.

avery purses his lips and makes a thinking face as she hums, seconds later she answers, "medyo okay naman na, relief ganon, pero kakayanin!" she says with her fists up in the air as if she won something. seokmin laughs to her goofiness, "samahan mo ako ah? along the way." she smiles sheepishly at seokmin.

seokmin nods at her as she softly runs away going to the food section, seokmin looks down with a smile on his face inhaling and exhaling before talking to himself,

"kahit gaano pa kalayo 'yan, sasamahan kita." he says as he follows where avery is.
