seokvery

seokmin and avery were just chilling by the living room after their trip from the convenience store. avery was seated by the floor as she reads her readings for tomorrow's hearing while seokmin was just sitting by the couch as he eats the foods they bought. he didn't realize he was already spacing out— specifically looking at avery until the latter spoke,

"matutunaw ako niyan sinasabi ko sa'yo." avery mutters as she turns another page from the papers in front of her. seokmin coughs awkwardly as he averted his gaze from anywhere else except her until she spoke again, "alam mo seok, curious lang ako bakit dito ka dumiretso instead na doon sa bahay ng pinsan mo?" she asks as she stopped reading and looked up at seokmin who's admiring the view from the outside of the condominium.

"wala lang? dito lang ako dinala ng mga paa ko. bawal ba?" he asks looking back at her. they stared at each other for a few seconds until she exhales sharply looking away, "hindi naman sa bawal. nakasanayan mo na ba? kasi kada uwi mo dito, dito ka talaga dumidiretso." she says in a whisper but seokmin heard it clearly, "hmm wala eh, nasanay lang paa ko." he says with the hint of sarcasm, "edi sana paa mo na lang pumunta diba?" she retorts back with a sacarsm too.

seokmin laughs as avery mirrors him laughing too, "saya ka?" she asks, seokmin stops and hummed for a while, "oo saya ako. ikaw? saya ka?" he asks back. avery stopped writing and placed the opposite of the tip from the ballpen under her chin resting it there. "ngayon? well i don't know, your energy... nakakahawa" she says laughing, seokmin tilts his head by the side, "pero like yung puso mo? saya ba?" he asks again, making avery turn her head and look at him.

"ano ka ba, mag dadalawang taon na yun. moved on na ako." she says writing again but seokmin laughs at her, "ikaw na mismo nagsabi na wag mag move on but instead mag move forward pero parang ikaw ito kinukulong sarili mo diyan sa past mo." he says not looking at her. avery felt a little offended when she was supposed to defend herself, seokmin adds something still not batting an eye at her, "your words, not mine, attorney kim." avery closes her mouth and pouts.

"wala na ako madefend dyan. case closed." she mutters earning a little kick from seokmin to her knees, she looks up again and was greeted by a small smile from seokmin, "alam ko matagal na 'yon pero sana wag mo na ikulong sarili mo diyan, potchi." he says, "kasi alam ko hirap na hirap ka na all these years, hindi naman masama minsan maglabas diba? pero if ayaw mo talaga hindi kita pinipilit." he says shrugging his shoulders as he puts a mouthful of snack in his mouth.

"i'll try." she whispers going back to her papers. seokmin hums from his side and says something, "sana hindi ka mag-alala kasi kahit ano mangyari back-up mo naman ako. kahit sabihin mong ex best friend mo ako, nandito lang ako." he says as he stands up throwing the bag in the trashcan.

avery thoughts for a while until she felt a presence in front of her, "huy, 'wag mo masyado seryosohin lahat. kanina inaaway mo ako ngayon parang iiyak ka diyan. oh ito, tissue." he says reaching her a box of tissue with a silly smile on his face until avery pushes him jokingly, "patawa ka boi?" she asks threatening.

"oo, basta makita lang kita sumaya, oks na ako." he replies at her which made avery smile.

"salamat, seok." she says which made seokmin smile mirroring her, "always, potch."
