as soon as avery arrived at the 10th floor, she searched through the hallways for room 1004. she smiles at the thought about remembering how jeonghan really did everything just to get the room with those numbers since he said it's his birthday and he wants his first apartment to be that way.

standing in front of the tall door, she puts her hand near the passcode pad to type in the password, she was smiling sadly as the door made a sound signalling that it opens and halata naman na tama password.

0701, the passcode on jeonghan's apartment.

though, she never asked what's the meaning behind it pero when jeonghan first got the apartment, there's a little hope na ang password ni jeonghan would be her favorite numbers or her birthday, but sadly hindi.

sa totoo lang, alam niya naman kung ano yung passcode na 'yun, kasi every year niya naririnig galing kay jeonghan, and like what she thought, hindi niya na tinanong kasi she doesn't want to make jeonghan worry, but there's a pang of jealousy inside of her that she's not willing to tell. pero she adored how much jeonghan won't make you feel less, jeonghan would always let her feel like home— kahit alam niya na una pa lang jeonghan doesn't feel the home in her.

"hey," she greets as she closes the door behind her and saw jeonghan sitting on the floor in front of his glass coffee table with a lot of papers surrounding it, "here's your favorite food, attorney yoon." avery teases as the man just grunted in response, "hay nako han, makakapasa ka niyan, trust me." she plops herself on a couch beside jeonghan as she started massaging jeonghan's back.

jeonghan moved and looked up at her with a tired smile, "thank you, avy." he says as he held her hand and squeezed it. avery went near and placed a small kiss on his forehead as jeonghan closed his eyes to feel it, "eat up first before continuing—"

"you're not reviewing?" jeonghan cuts off as he looks back in front and started dis-assembling the contents of the lunch box avery brought, "i will, ano lang i'm taking a rest for the meantime, besides," she changed her position and sat on the floor beside jeonghan, "we still have around three months until bar exam." she puts her head on jeonghan's shoulder closing her eyes.

she felt an arm snaking around her waist until jeonghan suddenly pulled her closer and made her rest comfortably as her crown is already on the crook of jeonghan's neck. she felt the warmth— but it felt so wrong.

"how about you? have you eaten?" she heard jeonghan asks softly as she hummed in response, "aren't you going home too? it's kinda late." he adds as avery felt a little disappointed of how the events is turning out, "or it's okay if you stay here beside me, pampa-motivation." he suddenly added with a soft laugh.

avery can't help but laugh as well, "kala ko pinapalayas mo na ako agad," with that jeonghan suddenly reached out for her hand and interlocks their fingers. she melts on the touch of jeonghan as she watches him review. they both sat in silence as if the world only revolves around them— plus jeonghan's reviewers she guess.

in the midst of the silence, jeonghan's humming some songs and even sing some parts as she softly sways their body. it really feels like home— her home she keeps longing for. later on, the silence broke as jeonghan puts down his ballpen and comfortably hugged avery by also putting his head on the top of hers.

"avy?" he calls in whisper because he might thought that she was already sleeping but she answered in hum as he continued, "what's your thoughts about going out of the country?" he asks as avery suddenly opened her eyes looking in front as if she's spacing out. jeonghan looks down and peeked softly to see if she's sleeping because she didn't even give a response kahit hum lang ulit.

"avery? you okay?" jeonghan asks as she sat up and reached for his other hand interlocking it with hers, "jeonghan of course i'd love to go with you— alalahanin mo we literally went to new york nung birthday ko even though i didn't need it," she says booping jeonghan's nose which made him chuckle, "and ang gusto ko lang naman makasama ka." she went nearer and hugged jeonghan by his waist snuggling closer as she'll ever be.

jeonghan smiled as he puts his arm on her shoulder pulling her closer, "i actually bought the tickets na," jeonghan slowly said that surprised avery but she didn't show it, "kailan alis?" she asked ignoring her heartbeat beating rapidly, "end of June? basta makarating ta'yo by July 1st." he says while tapping avery's shoulder with his delicate hand.

July 1st. 0701.

every year, that date, those numbers— jeonghan never failed to mention and whenever he does, he smiles like its his most beautiful memory. ang mas nakakatawa nga, mas nae-enjoy niya ang araw pag sumapit ang july 1 every year kaysa sa sarili niyang  kaarawan. avery knew naman kung gaano ka-special yung araw na iyan eh, ikaw ba naman first love ng isang jeonghan yoon, aayaw ka pa ba?

she laughs as her thoughts kept messing by her head. silence was surrounding them until she broke it.

"okay," she looks up with a smile on her face, "saan ta'yo pupunta?" she asks and this time, it was jeonghan's turn to touch her nose but the way he did it made avery giggle— he stole a quick kiss on the tip of her nose with a smile, "italy." he says and that time, her heartbeat stopped beating fast— more of mas naging kalmado. she wants to ask bakit sa italy pa, pwede naman sa asia na lang this time? is it too selfish that for once gusto niya man lang ma-solo si jeonghan? siguro.

"italy? hmm. sige. and i know naman how much you're excited to visit museums sa italy plus to practice your italian skills?" she says laughing which made jeonghan unconsciously smile like a fool. there it is— the stars that finally showes up on jeonghan's eyes like he just heard a story which he adores the most.

jeonghan tightened the grip on her as he whispers on her hair, "'wag mo muna sabihin kanila choi ah, surprise na lang na'tin sila once we arrive there" as he laughs straightening his legs because it finally felt numb.

"thank you by the way." jeonghan says once again as avery felt confused why until jeonghan continued to speak, "for being here with me lalo na when i was at my lowest point. love you, avy." he says endearingly which made avery smile.

she hummed in response as she closes her eyes feeling jeonghan's warmth— but it felt like there is none, still, she responded,

"i love you too."
