malia is back

jeonghan parked the car and as he unfastened his seatbelt he heard a sob from his right. he slowly puts back the seatbelt as he fully faced his girlfriend na nakayuko and parang pinupunasan ang mga luha. he puts his hand at the back of avery's head and started to caressed it.

"hey, tingin ka sa akin." jeonghan softly says as avery looked up and wiped her falling tears fast enough as she gave jeonghan a small smile which jeonghan returned with a smile too. jeonghan sighed as he went closer and softly kissed avery's forehead as closed his eyes and inhales.

they both know they were too tired, they looked like those couple na mukhang masaya on the outside but whenever they are alone, they have their own battles to fight for, and that is love. minsan kasi 'di na rin natin matansa kung ano talaga ang definition ng love, even to themselves, because love isn't something you'll easily get.

jeonghan exhales sharply as he puts avery's head on his chest and and stayed like that for minutes as jeonghan's phone vibrated and sees that someone texted.

"jeonghan, she arrived na, let's go." avery mumbles as jeonghan pursed his lips and nods, but before avery can remove herself from jeonghan's hold, she immediately stopped at what he said,

"i love you so much" avery looked up and see that jeonghan was looking at her with pure sincerity as jeonghan smiled as well.

it felt like it was the last, she's scared but she knows how it's supposed to be, kasi kahit baliktarin ang mundo, she's just a chapter in jeonghan's life— the same goes to her, isang chapter lang ng buhay ni avery si jeonghan.

"tara na, han." avery says as jeonghan's heart beat became faster.

as he got out of the car, he texted malia back saying he can see her as he does. tama nga si seungcheol, you can never un-love someone because as he saw malia far from the distance, everything came back again— back to zero. he felt like he had another love at first sight, if that's what you call.

don't get him wrong, mali nga na ganito may someone siya sa buhay niya pero hindi pa pala talaga siya fully tapos mag-mahal ng iba— pero hindi rin natin masisisi kasi wala eh, 8 years din 'yun, you just can't force yourself to wait for someone when you know 'di mo alam kung kailan babalik and that goes for the longing and comfort part— he found those to avery, the same goes to avery.

he held avery's hand as they walk side to side and later on his pace became slower, he felt like the world stopped as malia smiled and waved at him— and malia's right as well, he can read her like an open book, he can see that she's been through a lot and as they walk faster the first instict he did was to hug malia, tightly.

"welcome back, malia." jeonghan whispers on her ears as he felt malia's hand on his back and respectfully taps it. "thank you" she softly laughs as she removed herself from jeonghan's hug and went to avery to hug her as well.

"can't believe i'll see you in the same spot again, jeonghan." malia says as he nods.

it is the same spot, where she left jeonghan 8 years ago, the same spot where she saw jeonghan hiding— and oo, nakita niya noon si jeonghan but she stopped herself to call for his name because she don't want to see jeonghan breaking down in front of her, and now they're in the same spot but this time, they were just a feet apart.

"oh? jeonghan? malia? wait—" they all looked at malia's back and see seokmin, not a fully major character since the beginning but who knows.

"uy malia, nakalimutan mo na ba ako? ako yung kaklase ni jihoon nung college, and we collabed na rin a few times" seokmin starts as he went near them, "uy! seokmin grabe tagal na rin pala, and oo nakwento ka ni ji sakin minsan," malia says as he gave seokmin a hug.

"ako rin nakapulot ng phone mo kanina, nagmamadali ka eh kaya 'di mo na siguro nakita kung sino nag-bigay" seokmin laughs, "uy hala sorry! kasi naman kinabahan ako ang dami na text ng kuya ko" seokmin's smile radiated jeonghan who smiled to him as well and gave him a handshake

seokmin's gaze ended up at the woman beside jeonghan and seokmin just prayed that he shouldn't have went near them,

"avery?" seokmin points at avery who's looking at him as well and avery's world felt like it turned upside down.

jeonghan and malia's gaze all turned to avery who's fidgetting jeonghan's sweater. jeonghan felt the need to hold her hand so he did as he held it tightly and smiled at seokmin who's gaze never left avery, para siyang nakakita ng multo.

malia looked at them both and softly smiled as she just went back and tapped seokmin's shoulder "seokmin? seokmin!" malia says as he blinks a few times and looks back at malia who's looking at him worriedly, "i'm so sorry nadala lang ako ano kasi ah—"

"walang excuse 'yun seok," malia laughs, "how did you know, avery?" malia asked which jeonghan looks back on avery who opened her mouth, "we were classmates, nung high school, close kami before."

seokmin nods and looks down, "sobrang close..." he mumbles as jeonghan and avery didn't hear it but malia did, "ay sige una na ako! hinihintay na ako ng pinsan ko sa bahay, kita kits na lang ulit." seokmin says as he hugged malia immediately and did a handshake with jeonghan. he was supposed to hug avery but he stopped midway and bowed at her.

"ingat ka ah!" malia shouts as jeonghan only gave him a nod.
