Chapter 53 - Burn In Hell

Emily's P.O.V -

" em , Kiran , laura were leaving now " I heard a shout from the front door as I looked up from my laptop and a face appeared around the door . James gave me a smile as I smiled back

" we're just going down the shops ok , do you want to come" he asked as I looked at the assignment I had to do for school on Monday and I only had today and tomorrow to do it . I sighed as I thought of being outside compared to being in this room but I had to get it done . All the snow had melted so there was nothing to do really

" no sorry I have to do this for school" I poked the laptop screen as it wobbled slightly and I gave out another long sigh

" well me and tris are still going , I think Laura's going out to work later so it will just be you and Kiran " he said as I stood up and followed him out the door . Kiran was in the living room watching tv whilst Laura was in the kitchen making her sandwiches for her lunch . I gestured for Kiran to come to the door as I passed her and stood next to the boys . Kiran appeared as did Laura and James opened the door

" we'll be back in a few hours ok " James said to all of us as he bent down and kissed Kiran's cheek . It reminded me so much of how con or used to do it . But he couldn't now . I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind as James shut the door heavily . It locked with a sharp bang and I jumped , It reminded me of the last time Connor walked through that door .

*Flash Back*

" Connor why are you going " I asked as he turned round and looked directly in my eyes

" because I hate this house , I don't want to be anywhere near you , you remind me of too much , I need to get away, to be alone , to cry in a corner but nobody will let me do that " he breathed as a tear escaped my eye

" but the last time Connor you - ....."

" last time I was drugged up , I wasn't thinking straight I never meant any of those words I said , it was a moment of weakness " he simply put it

" but I - "

" NO EMILY I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE" he bellowed as I gasped

" I love Danielle " he whispered as he swiftly opened the door and it closed shut

He was gone

That memory really burnt me. Not only did he say he didn't love me anymore but he was in love with someone else. Can a person move on that quickly onto someone else when they love the person as much as I loved Connor . He can just move on from one girl to the next . He didn't love me as much as I thought he did then.

I walked away from the door and up the stairs . I went to my room and switched my laptop off charge . I grabbed the laptop and walked carefully down the stairs . I got to the last two as I slipped and fell down on my ass and bum shuffled all the way down until I hit the floor . I let out a screechy laugh as my bum throbbed from the pain. The only thing that wasn't hurting was my laptop and I protected that well. Kiran came rushing in as she heard my screech and looked at me

I was a heap on the floor . My legs were tangled together whilst my hands were still securely holding into my laptop . My bum hurt and I leant my back up against the first step to support me . I laughed at Kiran's face as it dropped from worried to confused . Her face started to form creases as she started to laugh with me .

" that's the first time I've seen you laugh in ages " she laughed as I started to get the hiccups from laughing so hard

" I - hick- know - hick - I - hick - missed - hick - this " I laughed even harder as I couldn't breath from laughter as my stomach hurt and I couldn't say one word at a time without hiccuping
