Chapter 45 - You Didn't Did You

Connor's P.O.V -

I stretched my legs out as they stretched out in front of me . I looked to the side . Emily was still sleeping peacefully . We fell asleep on the sofa last night . We decided to put a movie on and I suppose we both fell asleep during it . We had covered ourselves in a blanket and it had slowly fell off . I picked it up from the ground and put it over Emily .

I sat there staring at Emily . She was beautiful . The way her mouth parted a little bit in her sleep . The way she sniffles a bit due to the cold she has . She snuggled her head into my chest as I repositioned my arms loosely around her waist . I saw the necklace that I had given her last nice hung protectively around her neck . I just wanted to take a picture of her face last night . I was so worried she wasn't going to like it

*Flash Back *

I opened the door and immediately
ran to the tree where we kept the presents . We had just come back from seeing my parents and I could tell they loved her . My mum was just smiling the whole night I could tell she was happy that I had finally found someone that's de me happy and she could see that .

When I went to leave my mum pulled my back and whilst giving me a hug she said " she makes you happy so she makes me happy , keep her people like her are hard to find" . I just smiled at my mum . What she just said might be to her just another sentence but to me that was everything I ever wanted .

But I was still worried she didn't like the necklace I had brought for her . I ran to the tree and picked up the wrapped present and handed it to her

" I thought it was you who couldn't wait to open presents " she laughed as looked at me. The nervous expression had gone from her face an I could tell she was letting out a very long sigh of relief

" no buts " I said as I handed her the box

She carefully unwrapped and gasped . She opened the box and a small tear escaped her eye. I lent over and wiped it away with my thumb . I cupped her check as placed two fingers under her chin. I stopped when her eye level was the same as mine and she rested her hands on my chest

"Do you like it " I whispered nervously

" it's perfect " she whispered her voice cracking . She really did think it was perfect . She lifted the necklace off the cushion and looked at inside . I had our names engraved in the inside of one of the hearts . They were joined together and encrusted with little diamonds .

I took it out the box and she looked at me . A smile formed on her face as I Un clasped the necklace.

" turn around " I whispered as she sat cross legged with her back to me . I carefully removed her hair and moved it over her shoulder . She lifted it up whilst I place it round we delicate neck . It fit perfectly and rested at the small of her neck .

" I will always love you" I whispered in her ear as she turned around and climbed in my lap. I placed my hands in her waist before she replied

" and I you"

*End If Flash Back *

I felt Emily shift we legs once more on the sofa as she tried to get comfortable . She cuddled into me as she rested her head on my shoulder . I tried to wiggle out from under her as I replaced me with a cushion . I carefully picked her up bridal style and walked up the stairs to our bedroom .

I placed her in the bed and turned the small lamp on that was beside our bed . I tucked the covers in move her hair out of her face . I placed a kiss on her forehead and quietly went downstairs . I turned the tv off and went to go have breakfast
