Nova woke up at eleven, after having a nightmare about her mother and sister. Again.

Nova was sat in the car. Her dad speeds up, and this time she can't move. She was stuck in the passenger seat unable to move; unable to stop the car from speeding up and flying off the cliff. Liliana begins crying again. Her screaming is unbearable, and Nova can't stop it.

Nova closed her eyes again and waited out the panic attack that accompanied her nightmare. She longed for the day where she could fall asleep and not worry about reliving the moment she lost her father.

Luckily, Nova fell back asleep for a few hours before Tracy woke her up for lunch. Nova tried arguing that she wasn't hungry, but Tracy insisted she needed to eat.
Nova told Tracy to give her ten minutes to get ready for lunch. As Tracy left, Nova's green eyes began to brim with tears at the thought of facing everyone after her nightmare. It was days like this where she missed the lack of surveillance at Burnywood. She often got away with staying in her room all day there, and skipping meals was so much easier. The care worker at Burnywood, Dennis, didn't care if Nova didn't eat because it meant he'd save money on food. As long as Nova ate enough to stay alive, she could do what she wanted. Nova didn't blame Tracy for doing her job properly though. She had started to like being at Elm Tree, she liked the people and wanted to get to know certain people better (a certain blue haired girl) and Nova knew that if she got ill again and didn't eat she'd be taken into hospital or a specialised care home and would likely never see Tracy or Elektra or Liam again. And Nova, as much as she hated to admit it, didn't want that.

So, Nova slung on a white-knit cable jumper and pulled a black pleated skirt on over her tights, ready to face everyone. She put on her favourite, comfiest pair of fluffy socks for comfort and made sure her minimal makeup was okay before drifting downstairs for lunch. Nova took her normal seat at the end of the long table as Tracy began placing a jacket potato on everyone's plate.

Nova managed to stomach all of her food, with a bit of salad on the side, but sat in silence as she ate. Her signature frown had made an appearance on the girl's delicate face- a sign that she found the others too loud. Both Liam and Elektra noticed Nova's withdrawn state, but neither one said anything, they just made eyes at the girl in hopes that Nova would want to talk to either of them, but Nova ignored their laser eyes boring into her as she ate. She'd had a lot of practice ignoring peoples' stares.

When Nova was done, she put her plate in the dishwasher and made her way back to the safety of her room, in hopes to lose herself inside a book or two. As Nova passed the bathroom, the door opened, and Sapphire walked straight into the girl's petite figure.
"Watch where you're going, dumbass" she spat, barging past Nova, knocking the smaller girl against the wall.
Nova flinched at the contact against the wall, and, not wanting to get pushed around again like she was at her old care home, retaliated.
"You walked into me, you self-centred prick" she muttered, just loud enough for Sapphire to hear. Turning to face Nova, Sapphire began towards her, anger obvious on her face.
"What did you call me?" Sapphire asked, squaring up to Nova.
"Nothing, jeez, don't get your knickers in a twist."
Sapphire simply scoffed in response. "You wanna watch your mouth!"
"And you wanna watch where you're going. And your manners." Nova sassed back, folding her arms over her chest. Sapphire didn't take too kindly to her actions.
"You're such a freak." She spat, "No wonder you got kicked out of Burnywood. You're an absolute weirdo with nothing going on in that ugly head of yours!" Sapphire pushed Nova further against the wall as she spoke, boxing the redhead in. Nova's heart rate had accelerated and she wanted to cease existing in that moment. God, she hates confrontation.
