Nova found herself, for reasons she didn't really know, eavesdropping on the conversation between Mike, Tracy and Gina that was currently happening inside the office. Nova was curious, is all... She doesn't typically make a habit out of invading people's privacy, but Tracy looked incredibly happy when she entered the door today, and Nova just had to know why.

"When do you start?" Mike asked who Nova assumed to be Tracy.
"I have to write an article about the kids first..." Tracy explained, though anything she said after was lost on the eavesdropping young girl. Tracy was leaving. leaving elm tree, leaving mike, leaving the kids, leaving her. Tracy was the only care worker Nova thought she could trust, but the girl should've known it would be too good to be true.
You can't trust anyone but yourself. Nova thought. Not her father, not her social worker, not any other kids and certainly not a care worker like Tracy. Nova stumbled back from the door, feeling tears prickle in her eyes at the thought of her favourite care worker leaving just like everyone else in her life had done. Not wanting to cry by the office door, or at all really, Nova made her way into the lounge at the hopes of finding Liam to distract her, if not cheer her up.

"Hey, Nova! Wanna join our game?" Carmen asked, jumping up and down in her seat at the prospect of spending time with the older girl. Nova scanned the game Carmen was referring to, noting how Liam, Frank, Johnny, Tee and Carmen were all playing Go Fish. Nova nodded slowly and took a seat next to Liam, who dealt her into the game with a vibrant smile. Nova smiled softly back and began organising her cards, not really focusing on the game but rather the betrayal that was Tracy leaving.

Just as Carmen was about to begin the game, the very last person Nova wanted to see right now entered the room. Tracy cleared her throat and announced that she had an announcement, to which everyone's eyes then landed on the small raven haired care worker. Or journalist, Nova thought.

"I've been offered a job in London... so I'm leaving." She proclaimed, with a hint of nervousness in her voice. Nova looked up from her cards at Tracy and then rolled them in annoyance.
"Bye then." Nova said, returning to the game at hand with a growing feeling of bitterness rising within her.  Tracy could leave. That was perfectly fine by Nova anyways. But hell was Tracy wrong if she thought Nova would be nice about it.

"I'm sorry guys, but this is my dream job. It means too much to me!" Tracy explained frantically.
"And we don't? That put us in  our place, didn't it?" Sapphire snapped. As much as Nova disliked the girl, she admired her ability to blatantly fight back.
"It's not like that..." Tracy tailed off, but no one was having it.
"Don't beat yourself up, Beaker. You're just a long line of care workers." Sapphire spat at Tracy's face before walking off.
"Easy come, easy go." Nova shrugged, getting up to leave.
"Nova, hear me out." Tracy pleaded, so the ginger girl sat back down.
Tracy proceeded to explain that she wanted to write about us for a test article to see if she gets the job, and Nova rolled her eyes again to cover up the fact she already knew this information.
"Hold on, hold on, you want to leave us but you want our help? Sorry Tracy, that sucks." Liam replied, leaving the room. Being the leader that Liam is, everyone followed after him giving Tracy looks of disgust as they walked past her. Nova, as much as she didn't want to, felt a strong sense of pity for Tracy. Nova contemplated whether or not she should help her care worker.
