AWTYW - Bandaid
"Ada, I have a question," I said as I was brushing my hair.
She slightly glanced at me on the mirror. "Why you're still single?" She bluntly said, then proceeds to look for an outfit for her.
Napairap naman ako sa kanyang sinabi. "No."
"Para sa 'yo, ano ang salitang miss?" I slowly asked as I brushed the tips of my hair.
"Miss? Like when you longed for someone, is that it? Or when you missed to hit someone?" She confusingly said.
Napakagat naman ako sa aking labi. "H-Hindi, you know... when you call someone."
"You mean single ladies? When you address a woman you don't know, when you are not sure of a woman's marital status. Gano'n ba ang pinupunto mo?" Nakataas na kilay niyang sinabi.
Napatango-tango naman ako sa kanyang sinabi. So, bakit niya nasabi na hindi ko deserve na matawag na ganoon noon? I'm a single woman!
"Then, when can you not address the word "Miss" to someone?" I asked, again.
"E, 'di kapag kasal na! Kapag Missis na!" She straightforwardly said. "Ano ba, Flo? Anong nangyayari sa utak mo? Mukhang naalog ata no'ng hinimatay ka," naiiling niyang sinabi pero hindi ko na magawang mapuna ang kanyang nirereklamo.
Right... you can't call someone "Miss" if that person is already married. But I'm not married. I didn't even had a freaking boyfriend in my entire life! Kasal pa kaya? But that's what he said to me. That I don't deserve to be called like that anymore. Wait a minute... is he... No. It can't be, right?
I sighed and tried to wash away that thought inside my head. I was wearing an above the knee creme halter strap dress with a sweetheart front neckline, and paired it with a 3 inch wedge heels. Then, I gently patted the powder on my face as I finished it with a nude lipstick. I didn't put anything or anymore of makeup on my face, as my brows were completely thick and slightly arched, I didn't bother putting some mascara as my lashes were already too black and long, and as for my cheeks, it's just naturally pinkish that's why I don't like putting blush on baka magmukha na akong clown. And to my hair, I decided to tie it in a half ponytail and just let out my soft long curls.
"Si Lea ba talaga ang mag de-debut?" Ada jokingly said as we were waiting for Rantz and his husband to meet us downstairs.
"Did I overdo myself?" I said anxiously.
"I think what Ada was trying to say is that you might be too beautiful than the debutant," Rantz's wife said and smiled a little.
Marahan naman natawa si Ada. "Baka tuluyan nang mahulog ulit 'yong isa sa get up mo."
They are both beautiful as well. Rantz's wife can win any man's heart even if she is already married and have a daughter on her own. She has this soft natural beauty that every men could be drawn into. And as for Ada, even if she's already pregnant, it didn't made her any less of a beauty. Mas lalo pa nga siyang gumanda. Who could even resist her blue eyes?
They decided to bring one car, so it wouldn't be a hassle for us. But the only problem was I think both of them were a bit lazy to drive.
