"You know, something is really different about you today," ani Ada at muling nilapit ang mukha sa akin na para bang sinusuri ako.
"Maybe because I fixed myself? Hindi tulad kanina na haggard pa ako," I said to appease her but she didn't budge.
Ada's husband chuckled before holding Ada's arm to pull her away.
"I said 1 foot away from me!"
"Or maybe not..."
"No, something is really different. Like your aura is glowing with positivity or something. Parang blooming ka ngayon," she said like she finally found the answer she was looking for.
"W-What?"
"Nadiligan—what?" Naguguluhan kong tanong.
"Why would you even say that word, Ada?" He uncomfortably said.
Napairap naman ito at naghalukipkip. Am I the only one who doesn't know the diligan part?
"Alam mo pa sa akin?" She raised a brow.
"And would you even look at her.
I sighed. Mom and Dad just left for work kasama na rin sina Rantz. Dad didn't talked to me much, since he was I think disappointed with my decisions. Pero hindi na bago sa akin iyon. Though, a part of me was still sad that they already left and didn't stayed for long. Pero gaya nga ng sabi ni Ada, my aura was different now. If this is some kind of other days, I would probably be less energetic about everything. And now, I don't know why I'm just okay. Like, I still look forward with everything here.
Kuryoso kong tanong.
Ada's husband looked at me awkwardly, while Ada gave me a bored look.
"Come on, Ada. I'm sure Flo values and know the word chastity," he said and his eyes shifted at me. "Right, Flo?"
Does pregnant women have their own kind of language?
"¿Cómo están tú y la Abuela, Abuelo?" I asked how they are as I adjusted on my seat.
I heard Abuelo sighed on the other line. "Debería ser yo quien te pregunte eso."
Napangiti naman ako sa sinabi ni Abuelo. "I'm doing good, Abuelo. Handling Grandpa's plantation and your company were hard at first, but I adjusted well with it."
