AWTYW - Dinner
After what Ash and I have talked about, I feel like everything went haywire to me. Mom and Dad have already planned this before, and I couldn't believed that they did this at the time I was mourning. I had no idea they were plotting this behind my back. I know that not even once they informed about what they are doing, but don't I have the right to give a say or opinion about the marriage? Karapatan ko pa rin naman iyon, 'di ba?
I heaved a sigh as I gently patted the press powder on my cheek. The dinner will be on for an hour. At ako naman ay nakapag-ayos na. I just wore a white halter wide leg jumpsuit with my stilettos, then just went for a messy hair bun. After that, I wore my sterling silver drop earrings that has two round diamonds. When I felt satisfied with my look, I slowly placed my hands down on my vanity table.
I, then, looked at myself in the mirror. My features were between soft and strong. They say I always have the best and aesthetic eyes because it always shows the wholeness of my look, that even on my slightly arched brows, small pointed nose, slightly high cheekbones and thin cupid bow's lips, my eyes were always the one that gives emphasis with everything. But little do they know, that behind this brown eyes of mine, hides a painful story of mine.
They would always say how envious and jealous they were for having this kind of beauty, this status, the privileges and the background of my family. But I never wanted those, I never wanted the money and the looks. I just wanted love and attention from my parents. I just wanted to have a girl talk with my mother without having to be judge, I just wanted to be guided with my father without feeling to be strangle. Even just those, I can exchange every privileges I have if I could get to feel appreciated by them.
Nang makarinig naman ako ng katok mula sa aking pinto ay agad akong nag-ayos ng upo at mabilis na pinunasan ang isang luha sa pisngi.
I forced a smile when Rantz entered my room. He was on his usual cold expression but even much colder. Tumayo naman ako para salubungin siya.
"Hey, you doing okay?" I asked him.
He sighed as his brows furrowed before nodding at me.
I cluck my tongue when I felt something was bothering him.
"Sina Georgina nasaan?" Tanong ko muli.
"Hindi ko na sila pinasama pa. After all, this were all for business. It's not really for our family," he nonchalantly said.
Tumango naman ako. Right. This dinner is only for the sake of the company.
"I'm sorry, Rence," he said almost in a whisper.
Napahinto naman ako at nagtaka sa kanyang sinabi.
"What for?"
Humarap naman siya sa akin at bakas ang seryosong ekspresyon niya. "Do you remember the time that I refused to manage the company?"
Tumango naman ako. It was the time that both of us graduated in college. Since he was the eldest, it's normal for him to be the heir of the company of Mom and Dad's, but he repeatedly refused our parents about it. He said, he didn't want anything to do with it. Then, for a year or so, he bought almost half of the shares in the company. Though, considering that he already owns 25% of it, the same goes for me but a little less. He already owns half of the company that Mom and Dad owns, considering all the shares he bought there. Kaya naguluhan at nagulat ako sa ginawa niyang iyon, but maybe I thought business is business.
