Mentions of abandonment

—————————————————-

Pulling down his skirt Sam smiled loosely at his reflection as soft soothing music teased in the background. The melody of confidence and self love feathering along his ears earning him a slight smile. He loved listening to music when he was getting ready, it always seemed to sooth away his worries, make his self doubting thoughts erupt and wither away. As of right now "good as hell" by lizo was playing, Sams hips swaying to the beat as he lipped the lyrics. His hands applying the finishing coax of cherry lip gloss to his lips before he spun around. His hair beautiful falling just above his eyes, the color of beach blonde and pastel blue mixing so intoxicatingly. Sam was gorgeous to say the least, and everyone knew it.

Happily walking over to his bed Sam bend down lightly to grab his sandals, the small lace details among the shoe making Sam squeal at the site. He absolutely adored girly things. Slipping on the shoes Sam puckered his lips once to send his reflection a loving kiss. The action drawing a giggle from him before he skipped over to his radio, tuned off his music and walked out the door. The rainy sky's of Kansas not stoping Sam from doing whatever the hell he wanted to do when he wanted to do it.

Exiting his parents home Sam tried his best to not let his mood drop at the whethers choice of rainy commands. It's been a while sense it rained in Kansas and weirdly Sam was thankful for it. Usually all the flowers he plants die out in about a week due to the lack of rain, the stormy clouds above and thundering sky's should do great justice to his little friends. Deeming as there the only ones he's got.

Fetching his rain coat from the front doors hook Sam slipped on the clear plastic, the coat long enough to cover him from head to toe. Hes just thankful that his coat was clear so everyone could still see his beautiful outfit. It took him years to gather up the strength to wear such things, and Sam was going to be damned if some Kansas homophobe was going to try and stop him from looking good. That and the weather.

Stepping off of his houses steps Sam cringed slightly when the muddy water below him seeped into his sandals, a frown falling among his face. Maybe he shouldn't of worn such a unpractical outfit today.

Quickly walking back into the house Sam slipped off his muddy shoes before defeatingly placing on his rain boots. The black leather surprisingly mixing well with his outfit of choice. Smiling slyly at the ground Sam pulled his coats hood over his head before yet again leaving, this time fully prepared.

Closing his front door with a small thud Sam watched as rain drenched the streets, the small droplets crashing onto the earth making small pinging noises. A sound Sam actually found enjoyable. He loved the sound of rain, it comforted him.

Taking a step into the grass of his front yard Sam walked threw the rain and over to the side walk. The dark sky's and lighting clouds above making his body shiver, but still he continued. His parents haven't been home in weeks, there so called business trip they were on lasting more then just the few days they hoped. Now being completely abandoned at home with nothing little to do Sam yet again found himself trucking threw Kansas bipolar weather to the market. His tummy growling as he marched threw the heavens. A smile still drenching his features. He always tried to find the good in the bad, even if nothing good was there at all. It was just something he did, but recently he's been failing at the duty.

Stuffing his hands into his coat pockets Sam whined when water rolled down his hood and onto his face. A squeal making him wipe at his porcelain skin. He did not spend hours doing his makeup just for the rain to wipe it away. Tucking his head down Sam sped up his strides. His tummy growling even louder at the thought of how he was going to afford the food he wanted to get. His parents didn't leave him with much money before they left. Only a small hundred and Sam only had six dollars left from it.

Nearing his towns market Sam looked up with grey vision. His hopes of always looking for the good in things smoldering when a big fat CLOSED sign greeted him. Rolling his eyes Sam clenched his jaw with annoyance . This couldn't be happing right now.
Slipping his hands out of his pockets and looking down at the money in his palms Sam watched as rain collected among it. The wet sky's turning his cash into mush. Sam not doing anything but enjoying it. He hated that his parents left him.

What business meeting was so important that they had to leave there sixteen year old son alone for almost a whole month and a half. Not a single call, text or even a check in awaiting him. Throwing his cash onto the floor Sam stomped off angrily, his empty stomach collapsing at the site. He hated not being able to provide for himself, having to live off of his parents money while all they do is fuck him over. He was tired of them abandoning him and coming back weeks latter with the same shitty excuses.

Not realizing the tears on his face until one fell upon his quivering lip Sam stoped at the feeling. His body standing coldly in the rain as his once 'preppy and confident" thoughts vanished. A pit greeting his stomach with saddened pain.

"There not coming back this time" whispering Sam spoke brokenly to himself. This has been the longest his parents have ever gone without coming back and for some odd reason Sam didn't want them to. They never excepted him or loved him the way he needed them too. They were embarrassed for having a gay son so they fled. Left with fake smiles and goodbyes and started a new life somewhere less embarrassing.

Feeling his knees weakening Sam sobbed softly. His eyes poring like the clouds above. The thunder that roared threw out the sky feeling like dynamite under his skin. Dropping to the floor with howls of isolation Sam didn't bother to pull his hood back up whenever it fell down. The rain now caressing his cheeks and slithering along his sadness.

The tears that smudged his perfectly applied makeup mixing with the rain that rippled on his skin. The rain now now welcoming Sam into its delightful crying session, leaving him no longer feeling alone.
