Mentions of death/slight suicide warning
—————————✢————————-
Everyone warned the two. Told them that trespassing in abandoned buildings and such would only lead to there down falls. Everybody begged them not to, but it wasn't until recently did colby wish they hadn't either.
Sitting alone in his bed colbys eyes hung open like dull drapes, heavy and loose flowing. His cheeks absent on his face, tears slowly rolling down into the caves which appeared sunken and hollow. His eyes holding every fear and concern that ever swept his mind, dead and incripted with faint hues of hope that the one he loves dearly is still out there.
Colbys heart pumped beaten and bruised hanging lifelessly empty in its cage, black like his under eye bags. Sitting in silence the man who's completely lost his name in life slumped deadly ill in his bed. He felt gone and vacant. Weariness of body or mind. He felt like somebody had taken the only thing that mattered to him and hung it tauntingly at his feet, and in his case they did.
He was gone. His best friend and other side had gone missing on one of there Sam and Colby trips. He can still remember the last thing he said to him. A quick "I'll be right back" before he ran back down the abandoned rail road for there back up camera. He can still remember Sam nodding with a smile. In fact, he can still remember how perfect sams smile looked.
It looked like graceful clouds flowing down from the heavens, it looked like the beautiful roses you'd see in the shops or the welcoming charms of a soothing star. It looked like all things beautiful, and now it was gone. He could hear Sams screams. The way they broke when he tried to call out for him again. He could hear the panic and the tare in Sams voice when whatever or whoever had taken him grabbed hold of his body. He ran. Colby ran as fast as he could back to him, but he wasn't fast enough.
He could still see the blood splatters and the ripped pieces of fabric laid bare on the tracks. Like a rabid beast had hold of him.
Sams screams lapped in his mind like blaring church bells, but his own screams were what scarred him the most. He scream for Sam with streaming eyes, his chest holding this unforgiving Weight among it. He searched and searched for Sam. He felt like he was going mad, thinking that every wind whisper or creak was a call of his name. He looked in every hole, down every pipe and onto every track. Nothing.
He remembers not believing that Sam was actually gone and that maybe he had just headed home. Maybe this was all just a big fat prank. Laughing at his stupidity it took colby hours to find his way back to we're they've started, and hours more to make it back home. After walking into the trap house colby headed straight for Sams room with hopeful eyes. Surly hed be in bed sleeping or editing, maybe that's why he hadn't answered his text.
Walking in with raised brows colby felt the nagging weight of emptiness hilt his core once again. Feeling foolish for ever believing that his beloved would ever pull something this serious on him colby could still feel the burn in his knees when they buckled. His eyes spoke more truths then his mouth could of ever said. He fell to the floor with a blood curdling scream and digging nails. He cried for what felt like forever, and by the time he was able to choke out what had happened to the others, Sam was already found dead by local hikers. His body being disposed in a ditch along side the tracks colby searched high and low for.
When colby heard the news it was like his body went threw everything all over again. He completely lost touch in himself, feeling lost without his best friend. He spent countless nights weeping and reliving memories they had formed together, looking at old pictures. All of it was never enough, but it was everything compared to reality.
So after weeks of losing himself, spiraling and daunted. He found himself here, grieving over Sams grave with little less to say except sorry. He felt responsible for his best friends death, if only he had gotten there sooner. Colbys lips quivered with loose sentences, each going unfinished, because he never truly wanted to say goodbye for good.
Colby couldn't live without sam, not when he was his everything and more. Without him he was lost. So it wasn't much of a surprise when the roommates realized they hadn't only lost sam, but colby along with him. It was always supposed to be Sam and Colby vs the world, and now it will forever be Sam and Colby vs the afterlife.
One couldn't live without the other, so colby did the only thing he thought best.
He joined him
