The Charger C-70 emerged from hyperspace, one million credits worth of spice resting in its hull.

Hondo watched it from the bridge, which had regained much of its power yet not all. “Ah, my friends this a wonderful occasion is it not!”

    “Yeah just wonderful,” said Dev.

Admiral Sato cast routine glares at Hondo who routinely grinned at everyone. Hondo saw the Charger C-70 docking with one of the Corona-Class Armed Frigates. “Well my work here is done!” he proclaimed and he turned to walk away.

Suddenly there were three loud sounds as three banking clan frigates immerged from hyperspace. Hondo spun around and stared at banking clan frigates, “WHAT ARE THOSE CRAZIES DOING HERE?!”

There was another boom and a Providence Class-Destroyer appeared out of hyperspace. “Well have fun!” shouted Hondo and he sprinted off the bridge and into the ship.

“Admiral do you have a plan?” asked Shargo his crest turning black.

Admiral Sato checked several monitors mumbling to himself, “We will lose much of our power opening the hanger but then we can launch our fighters, our troops can fire the batteries manually and conserve power, then we hope that our shields can hold on the minimum until the hyperdrive is repaired”.

“What if you didn’t open the hanger?” rumbled Shargo as the ships began to near them.

“Then we would have our shields on medium for longer but we wouldn’t be able to launch our fighters,” said Admiral Sato.

Shargo stepped forward and stared at the hanger doors. Then he looked at Dev and Tyvral, “We’ll open the hanger”.

“We will?!” said Tyvral and Dev at the same time looking from Shargo to each other in alarm.

Shargo nodded, “I will not allow the men of this ship to perish due using unneeded power, we shall do it”.

“Well on the bright side things could get much worse,” said Dev.

“Sir, there’s a transmission from the enemy,” shouted a clone naval officer.

    “Let them speak,” rumbled Shargo.

The clone naval officer pressed a button and on a large screen, a mask two glowing yellow eyes appeared, “Jedi,” snarled General Grievous.

They cast a glare at Dev who took a sudden interest in his shoes. “You just had to say something,” sighed Tyvral.

“Surrender Jedi and I will give you a quick death!” roared Grievous before coughing violently.

“Unless you are surrendering then we have nothing to discuss,” rumbled Shargo his crest a mix of green and red.

“Then I will take your lightsabers from your lifeless bodies!” roared Grievous and he ended the call.

“Get to the hanger,” rumbled Shargo.

Dev and Tyvral immediately began sprinting towards the hanger, Tyvral’s fur trailing behind him and Dev’s leeku trailing behind him. They ran past clones running to their battle stations and others to the hanger and their ships. They reached the hanger and both stood under the massive doors which nearly stretched the entire length of the star destroyer. Tyvral swallowed in an attempt to quench his throat which had instantly dried at the sight of the massive doors. “Are we really about to do this?” he asked.

“We’re about to try,” said Dev.

“Master Yoda wouldn’t like that,” said Tyvral with a humorless chuckle.

“Save your breath you two,” said Shargo into his com, “You’re going to need it.

The blue barrier appeared under the doors so that they wouldn’t be sucked into space.

    “On three,” said Shargo.

    “One,” said Dev.

    “Two,” said Tyvral.

    “Three,” rumbled Shargo.

All three Jedi instantly shot their hands into the air and pushed. Their knees quaked and muscles bulged as the doors squeaked slightly. They clenched their teeth tightly and pushed with all their strength. The doors slid open a crack.

Dev fell to a knee his teeth bared and eyes tightly shut as growled in exertion.

Tyvral’s knees buckled wildly as he pressed his teeth together so tightly as he felt a root on one of the pop. His muscles tied themselves in knots as he tried to stand to his full height.

Shargo began to breathe shakily, and soon his body trembled as he tried to push the doors.

The doors squeaked as they slid open a bit more.

Dev groaned from exertion and stayed on his knee. He growled once again and pushed with all his might.

Tyvral let out a roar and stood to his full height, throwing his hands up with a renewed vigor. WE WILL NOT DIE TODAY, his mind roared.

Shargo stood to his full height nearly hitting his head on the extended ceiling. He let out a massive bellow with his crest causing everyone on the bridge to cover their ears as he pushed his hands out, moving them at a speed which almost made them appear to be underwater.

The shouts off all three Jedi rang out and the doors slid until they clanged, they were completely open. Tyvral, Shargo, and Dev all fell the ground their muscles burning, and everything that wasn’t burning was sore.

A cheer ran out from the clone pilots who then promptly flew out to face to the separatist. Tyvral laid on the ground and watched them fly overhead and into space his vision swimming. He heard someone run up to him but he didn’t have the energy to look at who they were. Something stabbed him and Tyvral shot up and saw a clone medic, “It’s just me sir, that’ll keep you on your feet”.

He was right, with every heartbeat Tyvral felt renewed strength flowing into his limbs. “Thanks!” he yelled and sprinted to his starfighter, X9 whirling a welcome.

Tyvral leapt inside and X9 closed the cockpit around him, and as he did Tyvral saw his reflection in the glass. I look like crap, he thought then his heart skipped a beat as he saw flecks of yellow among his green eyes, flecks of yellow which had never been there before.

Author's Note: Dang I'm on my game today, but don't expect three chapters (so far!) a day often. Though I do like this shorter chapter approach. Well, comment or DM me your thoughts and vote if you think it chapter deserves it. Antihero out!
