Chapter 18

Tyvral & Mal’dar                                   

    “Come on you slackers get to your ships, it is go time!” roared Kart.

    Dev and Tyvral were walking alongside one another, as the former went towards his gunship.

    “You better leave some droids for me,” said Tyvral.

    Dev scoffed, “You couldn’t take them anyway”.

    “Well, I guess we’ll see,” Tyvral said.

    Dev gave a light chuckled, “I guess we will”.

    “See you down there,” said Tyvral.

    Dev nodded and stepped onto the gunship. He looked at Captain Maw who was in the gunship across from him. “Are the men ready?”

    Maw nodded, “Yes sir”.

    “Then let’s get going,” said Dev. “Zip whenever you’re ready”.

    “I always am sir,” said Zip, the clone pilot, and they took off. Three gunships zoomed through the air, leaving white streaks behind the tips of their wings.

    “We got vulture droids incoming, this ride is about to get bumpy,” said Zip. 

    “That’s the best kind,” roared a clone who held a rotary cannon. The red lights tinting his armor.

    “Of course you’d say that Knock-Knock,” muttered another clone.

    The gunship something exploded near the gunship which swung violently in the air. “Hang on tight,” said Zip.

    Everyone on the gunship stumbled as the gunship swayed violently. “I’m gonna try something, get ready to jump,” said Zip.

    “I have a bad feeling about this,” muttered Dev.

    The light turned green and gunship doors slid open. They were speeding towards the palace, which was a small compound, each building made of brown stone. A stone wall surrounded the compound a large archway the only visible entrance.

    “Get ready,” said Zip. The gunship flew through the archway and into the compound. The gunship was still full speed and getting lower. It got so low that they were only a few feet from the ground. “JUMP!” yelled Zip.

    Dev and the clones jumped from the gunship which sped through the complex and between two buildings. The gunship squeezed between two buildings and shot into the air. Three vulture droids tried to follow but instead hit the alley between the buildings at the same time and crashed in a fireball.

    The two other gunships landed safely and the clones quickly ran out joining Tev and his squad.

    “No casualties, sir,” reported Maw.

    Dev nodded, “The plan is working, let’s go get the senator”. He held out his hand and his lightsaber floated over to it and began to lead his men forward.

    They ran towards the mansion and the two B1-Battle droids, guarding the door, watched nearly 100 hundred clones and a Jedi running towards them.

    “Should we run?” asked one his voice higher from the fear.

    “It wouldn’t matter,” said the second slouching over.

    The clones quickly blasted the droids and they went into the mansion.

    “This is to easy!” roared Knock-Knock.
