Kelley's POV:

It's been a week and a half since we came to Boston. Every day is a little bit harder. I just want her to wake up. Her bruises have healed slightly but her body still looks so broken. So small and fragile.

I know it hasn't been easy for the girls but I can't help it. I'm just so worried. I don't want to leave her side. We have been rotating out between the hospital and the hotel so that she is never alone which is good.

I know Ali and Ash are going to have to go back to Orlando soon but they have been really helpful. I know Emily is struggling and I feel bad that I am too wrapped up in my own emotions to help her through this.

-----

Currently, it's late at night. I have been staying during the nights while the others go back to the hotel. It works best this way since I don't want to leave her. I am able to talk to her with no one around. The girls just left a little while ago.

I move across the room and dim the lights down so I can sleep if I want. I grab a blanket and curl up on the couch that is next to her bed. I have slid it close enough so I can hold her hand but still lay comfortably.

"Meghan..." It was a little awkward at first to talk to her but if there is even a chance she can hear me I'll do anything. "I need you to wake up. We all do. I'm a mess. I miss you girl... And Emily does too. You have to wake up for her. She would be destroyed if you didn't make it. She's gone through so much over the years and she picks herself up every time, but she wouldn't make it through that. She loves you kid. I've never seen her love anyone like this too. And I know you love her too. Also when you're back on your feet if one of you doesn't admit your feelings, I'm doing it for you. You guys are meant for each other... Anyways... kiddo. You have made it through too much to give up now. You have to fight. I'll be here the whole time. I promise I will never let anything happen to you ever again. I love you kid."

I just sit there in the partial darkness. I can't believe this has happened. I mean she doesn't deserve this. Any of it.

I feel her hand squeeze against mine agreeing with my thoughts. WAIT. SHE MOVED! I jumped up.

"Meghan?" I quickly reached over and hit the call button for a nurse. "Hey, Meghan. Can you wake up? You're ok"

Holy shit. Please be real. Please don't be a dream. A nurse comes running into the room.

"I think she's waking up! She squeezed my hand!" I'm yelling in excitement and she runs off to find a doctor.

Someone turns the lights on in the room as several people enter.

"Hello, Meghan? I'm Doctor Baker. I need you to squeeze my hand if you can hear me."

I'm standing next to her bed. I want to be close but I don't want to be in anybody's way. From my position I clearly see her squeeze his hands in response to his question.

"Ok. That's great. Can you open your eyes for me." She is less successful at this task but she does scrunch her face up in a slight grimace. Then she starts to gag on the breathing tube that is down her throat.

"Ok. Hold on, I'm getting it out, ok? I just need you to stay calm for a minute." I can see that by her body language she is struggling with this task. I reach over and grab her hand as the doctor removes the tube from her throat.

"Hey, it's ok. Meghan, I'm right here." I give her hand a squeeze which she returns. Ohhh... it's so good to feel her move. Soon enough they get the tube out and replace it with an oxygen cannula under her nose. Her monitors are beeping quickly showing her quick heart rate.
