Meghan's POV:

The next few days are good. Mostly just training for the girls so it's kind of boring for me since I can't do much. I have been able to do some light stretches and strengthening stuff with the AT's though so that's good.

This morning we are doing something for the media. I guess they want me to do a Q and A thing with Rose. They want to post something on the USWNT youtube channel with the new kid in it. I don't really know. I just go along with what they tell me to do.

"Do you think this looks good?" I ask Emily as I get ready. I'm wearing black skinny jeans and a pale purple loose top. My hair is down but pulled up on the top.

"You look perfect"

"Aww, thanks." I smile at her. I can feel my cheeks turning red. I put my necklace on and grab my phone. Emily tells me to have a good time as I walk out of the hotel room. I'm kind of nervous. I don't know why either. Just some stupid video. As I walk down the hall Rose walks out of her room.

"Hey! You ready?" I ask her.

"Hi. And ya I guess so. I mean I don't really know what we are doing but it should be good." She giggles out. We make our way down to the room we are using. They have a small background and 2 chairs set up already. There is an impressive number of lights and cameras. It's all kind of weird. It makes me feel like a celebrity but literally no one knows who I am. And honestly, I don't want them to. I'm pretty private. Being in the public eye sounds terrible.

They get our mics up and ready to go. I guess we are pulling a question out of a bowl and then I'm answering them. Kind of a little get to know you game.

"Ok. start on 3. 1...2...3," one of the cameramen says.

"Hello! I'm Rose Lavelle and this is Meghan Hull, our newest member of Team USA, and today we are answering questions about Meghan."Thankfully Rose is the one to start the video. I wave awkwardly as I am introduced.

"Ok, do you want to draw the first question?"

"Sure" I giggle out. Reaching in, I grab one of the slips of paper and laugh as I read it out.

"Do you have any pets?... I do not have any pets. Although Rose has convinced me that I want a dog so who knows. I will probably wait until I'm older though." Rose proceeds to steal the show and talk about Wilma which is totally expected but I don't mind at all.

"Ok next question." Rose reaches in and pulls out another one. "Where are you from?"

Uh oh... How do I answer that? "Well I am originally from New Hampshire but I currently live in Salt Lake City," I say to the camera. I guess that's good. It's true just without any of the details. Rose just smiles at me and hands me the bowl.

"Ok next. Do you have any pre-game rituals? Ohh... I like that one." I laugh thinking about it. "So I don't really do anything specific until we actually get on the bus but then Rose and I always sit together. That's how we became such good friends." We giggle and make eye contact thinking back to my first camp. "But then I listen to music and then nothing special until the last two minutes before we line up. I, without fail, puke before every game. I guess I just get nervous but it happens every time. And then I drink a gatorade and I'm fine. Has to be the red gatorade though otherwise, we will lose." Rose and I just laugh.

"Why? Like how did that come to be?" she says through her laughter.

"I have no idea but before every game. Even in my high school games, I used to do it. I remember one time I was able to hold it in but ended up puking on the field like a minute into the game. They made me come off too. But then it has to be the red one because we will lose otherwise. My high school team and I tested it. " We continue laughing until the camera crew makes us stop and move on. I am glad we are doing it together because she makes it feel like we are just hanging out and not filming which I appreciate.

"Ok next question." Rose reaches into the bowl. "Oh boring one. What position do you play?"

I laugh. "I play in midfield. Kind of wherever the coach wants me. Although I am not playing right now because of an injury."

"Alright next." Rose pulls another one out of the bowl. "Oo very serious one."

"Oh no." I look at Rose but then see the silliness in her eyes.

"What is your favorite color?" We both laugh at the way she asked it.

"Umm... light blue. Now Rose what is your favorite color? And this could break our friendship."

"Oh... purple."

"Ok... I guess we can still be friends." I say sarcastically. We spend some more time picking questions and answering them.

"Ok last one." Rose draws one and laughs. "Most embarrassing thing that has happened to you in front of the team."

"Oh... I didn't know... I haven't been here very long." I rack my brain trying to find something. I mean I have plenty that has to do with panic attacks but I'm not sharing that with the internet.

"What about when you first met Sonnett?" She looks at me then motions with her hands punching. At first, I'm not sure. I don't want to share that. But I can see the glee in Rose's eyes. It was funny. She's right. Just not all the details.

"Oh right. Ya..." I feel myself blush. "So when I first showed up to camp I roomed with Emily and I went into the room and she thought it would be funny if she hid and then jumped out and scared me. Little did she know my fight was much stronger than my flight reaction. I ended up punching her in the face. In the moment it was not funny. Afterward, though it is hilarious. The whole team laughs about it all the time. And it wasn't just a little punch it was like full-on 'I'm gonna take you out'" I laugh at the memory. Obviously I had a lot more happen after the punch but after it was funny.

"Ya, she deserved it though." Rose giggles.

"Yes, she did."

"Ok well, that's it for us. Thanks for watching!"

"Bye!"

It was a fun time but I am glad to be done. We give our mics back and head back up to our rooms. We have a training session later today. I enter my room.

"Hey!" I greet Emily and Kelley who are watching TV.

"Hey! How did it go?" Kelley asks, turning her attention away from the show.

"It was good. A little awkward at first but then good. And Em the whole world now knows that I punched you when we first met." I giggle.

"Oh?" I explain the questions and we all get a laugh looking back at that day. It was a rough day for me but it also marked the beginning of this journey I have ended up on and I wouldn't change that for the world. And if you don't look back and laugh then you are taking life too seriously.
