Meghan's POV:

Once again the next few days are good. Training and hanging out with the team make the time fly by. We are already done with our first week here in Orlando. I am dreading the day after the game when I have to return to my life back home.

We are on our way to training currently. Rose and I are talking about what kind of dog I should get. I never even said I wanted one but here we are. She is scrolling through an adoption page and showing me all the cute dogs. I glance across the aisle to Sonny looking for an escape. She just shrugs at me and giggles. Uhh, she is not going to save me.

Soon enough we make it to the field. Today is the first really hot day we have had here in Orlando. We are all sweating like crazy. Dawn makes us do suicides for what seems like hours. It is honestly terrible. At one point I felt like I was going to pass out from heat and exhaustion. It turns out this New Hampshire girl doesn't do too well in the heat.

Thankfully Dawn makes it a little easier on us for the rest of practice knowing it's hot. Finally, it's done and we all head to the sidelines to change out of our cleats and just rest for a bit before going back to the hotel.

We all make small talk and joke around for a bit. At some point Pinoe, Sonny, and Crystal are having a dance-off. The crowd decided Crystal won much to the other two's disappointment. Someone took a video of it and Sonny is desperately trying to get their phone from them to delete it.

"We can't have the fans knowing I'm not the dance queen" she yells as she tries to get Lindsey's phone away from her. This got a laugh from the team.

Suddenly Julie says. "Yo, guys look." Pointing to the entrance of the stadium as two cops walk in. "What are the cops doing here?" we all turn and watch in confusion. They go over and talk to Jill for a minute. They are far enough away that we can't hear what they are saying.

Then my name is called by Jill and she waves to me to join her and the two cops.

I can't help but let what I'm thinking escape my mind. "Shit," I say under my breath but loud enough that the team hears. I stand up and make my way over to the group. This can't be good. I wrack my brain trying to think of anything illegal I have done in the last little while and I can't come up with anything. Probably because I haven't ever done anything wrong. I'm a pretty good kid and follow the rules.

I can feel the team's eyes on my back as I step up to Jill and the two officers.

"Hi, I'm officer Blake and this is my partner officer Wilson. Are you the foster child of Greg and Jan Swafford?"

Shit. This is not good. It's all because of those papers I forged for Jill so I could come. Greg must have found out.

"Yes," I managed out.

Then Jill pipes up "Wait I don't understand. We got the parental release form from her. She is all good to be here."

"I'm sorry ma'am but Mr. Swaford claims he never signed them. He has filed her as a missing person. We have to bring her back to New Hampshire."

At this, my heart drops. I don't want to go back but I know lying and saying that he did sign them is not a good idea.

"I signed them. He didn't. I forged their signature." I quietly state looking at the ground. Jill looks really angry at this point. "I'm sorry. I just really wanted to come. I knew he wasn't going to sign it so I did. I know I shouldn't have. I'm really sorry." I say and Jill's face softens. She obviously feels bad about the situation I'm in.

"I don't want to do this kid, but you have to go with them. But I promise as soon as you turn 18 I'm calling you back up ok. Keep your head up. If you keep working hard you are going to go places. Go grab your stuff." She says and I can tell she is being genuine. It takes everything in me not to cry. Why does he always have to ruin everything?
