Chapter 45

Meghan's POV:

The next couple of months fly by. Between practicing with the girls starting my online schooling and the holiday season it is crazy. We've had two more camps which have both been fantastic. I hate being away from the girls and it is so good to see them all again. Emily and I continue to get closer as well. The team knows about us as well. We have gotten a little more touchy with each other but nothing past that.

We also spent Christmas in Georgia with Kelley's family which was really good. I hadn't been with them in person so it was definitely an experience. They are now my grandparents who still feel really weird. I can't believe how my life has changed for the better.

I also get to spend more time with Emily which is good since she spent the holidays with her family also in Georgia.

Kelley has also become really close with Eliza, the girl from the coffee shop. It started with Kelly just going over to the shop a lot but they have started to hang out more at other places too. She comes over to the house sometimes. She is great. Super nice and she makes Kelley happy which is good. They aren't officially together yet but they are super flirty. It will definitely happen soon. Kelley even asked me if I was ok with that when they got to that point which was super sweet of her. Obviously I am.

Practicing with the Salt lake city girls had been awesome too. Maddy, Emma, and I have become really close. It was really nice to have them. I didn't realize how much I miss having friends my age until I had them again.

Basically life has been crazy but good.

(back in Utah. After January camp)

"Ok. Bye Kelley."

"See ya! Don't do anything stupid!" she says as I walk out the door.

I jump into Maddy's car with Moose right behind me. Emma is already in the car. We just had practice not even two hours ago but we are going to hang out. It's Friday night and we all went home after practice to get cleaned up but now we are just going to hang out.

After driving around for a while just hanging out Maddy gets a text from some of the other girls on the team. Apparently they are having a party.

"It will be pretty low key," Maddy says as we climb back in our car after going in a target. "Just a bunch of us hanging out"

"Oh ok..." I'm not totally convinced that I actually want to go. But it would be good to hang out

"It will be fun! We do it every once in a while." Emma says form the passenger seat.

"Ok then let's go!" I say trying to fake my excitement. I guess they didn't notice because we are off. Whatever it will be fun and if I really want to leave then I will tell the girls and they will leave with me.

We have gotten pretty close. They still don't know about what exactly happened in my past but they know that Kelley adopted me. They were so excited when they got to meet her. Kelley and I also made it so they could meet and train with the whole royals team for a day and the two were over the moon. So I know if I decide I need to leave they will understand and come with me.

Soon enough we arrive at Tessa's house who is hosting this party. As we go in I realize how much money this girl has. Her house is extremely fancy.

"This is why she always holds parties. Her parents are loaded and never around." Emma whispers to me. I just giggle at her. We make our way to their giant living room. It has a massive window that stretches along the whole back wall. It is so pretty.

Most of the other girls are already here and have filled up the multiple couches. So the three of us find a place on the floor. Music is playing in the background but you can still hear each other talk. Maddy was right, this is really low key. Which I really appreciate.
