Meghan's POV:

The next few days go well. I don't have too many panic attacks so that's good. Kelley and Becky have practice and I have been just staying home. I ended up being the other day. It's something I love to do but didn't really get the chance back to New Hampshire. To say Kelley was surprised when she came home is an understatement. I had made 2 batches of cookies, chocolate chip muffins, blueberry muffins, and a cake. I don't know I was just bored. We ended up inviting her teammates over to help eat the cake.

I have also managed to drag Kelley back to the coffee shop where Kelley met that girl. She didn't want to go with me because she knew my intentions were to get them together. We end up talking to her for a few minutes. Her name is Eliza and she is definitely into Kelley. I haven't managed to get her number for Kelley yet but that is my mission for when we get back from camp.

I literally can't wait to go to camp and see everyone but especially Emily.

-----

"Meghan? You ready?" Kelley yells up the stairs at me.

"Ya, one sec." I finish up brushing my hair and grab my bag and head downstairs. We are on the way to the airport to go to camp. This time we are going to LA. I'm pretty excited since I have never been on the west coast or seen the pacific ocean.

We make it out to the car and pick up Christen on the way.

We park the car and make our way into the airport. Security is a bit of a hassle but not too bad. We finally get through and start our way to the gate. On our way, there is a small crowd of people just waiting for their gate. As we walk through the sea of people someone recognizes us and a few people try to come up to us. I start to get anxious as I don't really like crowds but Kelley grabs my hand, squeezes it, and pulls me through the crowd. Finally, we make it to our gate.

Our plane ride is short and uneventful. The first time I flew was scary but I have gotten used to it. I thankfully got to sit in the window seat. Kelley sat next to me with Christen in the isle. Becky was in the row in front of us.

As we get off the plane, "Hey Kelley? Who's coming to pick us up?"

She looks over at me and just smirks but doesn't respond. Ok. Thanks. Really helpful Kelley.

We make our way to baggage claim and get our bags before heading to the exit. I look around to see if I can recognize anyone. Then I see my favorite blond. She looks up and makes eye contact with me. I take off towards her. She pulls me into a tight hug.

"Hi! I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too!" I squeal out. We release from the hug and I find Tobin standing next to her.

"Hi, Tobin!" We hug each other quickly.

"Hi! I'm so glad you are ok." I smile in response. The other girls catch up with us. Christen and Tobin embrace in a tight hug and make out for a moment. We all say our hellos before heading out to the car and going to the hotel. I am sitting in the far back seats with Emily. I don't think her hand has left mine since we left the airport.

"Do you know the roommate situation?" I ask quietly.

"Yes! We are together. I talked to Jill about it. I knew you would be more comfortable with me or Kelley."

"Aww. Thanks. You're the best."

"I know." I whack her slightly while laughing. She is so good sometimes.

We make it back to the hotel and make our way up to our rooms to drop our stuff off. We have dinner and then a meeting with Jill. I am so excited to be here but I'm sad that I can't actually play or even practice yet. We have two weeks at this camp and a friendly against Ireland at the end.

We make our way into the conference room we are using for meals and I am practically tackled to the ground. Several arms wrap around me. A chorus of 'welcome back's and 'glad you're ok's ring out.

As the group hug dissolves I see that Rose is one of the ones at the bottom with me.

"Don't do that again ok? You scared the shit out of me." I get pulled into another hug.

"I know. I'm sorry Rose." She just smiles and sadness at me. We all make our way to the tables to eat. I guess we were the last group to arrive. We just have fun sitting, eating, and hanging out.

"So I know you're living with Kelley. Is that your permanent plan?" Mal asks.

"Wait Kel did you tell them?" I look at her confused. I thought the whole team knew about the adoption.

"No, I wanted to let you tell them," she says smiling.

"Oh ok..."

"What were we not told?" Pinoe asks.

"Um... Kelley adopted me!" I say excitedly. The girls that didn't know are all a little shocked but then they are very excited. For the second time tonight, there is a lot of hugging. Both for me and Kelley. We continue our dinner laughing and chatting. Soon Jill comes in and tells us to go to the meeting.

We walk across the hall to another smaller conference room. As we walk in, Emily grabs my hand again and pulls me toward the back.

Everyone files in and then Jill goes up to the front.

"Hello everyone. Welcome back. We are going to have a great camp here in LA. As you all know we are playing Ireland at the end of the two weeks but we really need to start thinking about the She believes cup and qualifying for the Olympics..." She continues on but I stop listening. I don't really need to hear any of this since it's not like I'm playing in the game against Ireland anyway. Besides she will give the same speech next camp.

I trace patterns into Emily's hand to pass the time. She looks over and smiles at me. It feels good to be back around these people.

-----

Emily and I lay in bed together. Her arms wrap around my body. There is nowhere else in the world I would rather be.

"I love you" she whispers. I turn my head slightly.

"I love you too." The sun shines in through the shade and reflects off her blonde hair turning it to gold. Her cute freckles splattered across her face. And her eyes which I could get lost in.

"Can I take you on a date during camp?"

"Ya... I'd like that."

"Perfect." She whispers back and kisses the top of my head. "What do you want to do if the team finds out? I mean we aren't exactly subtle." we giggle at that.

She and I haven't kissed since that night in the hospital. Just cuddled and held hands. And that's all I'm ready for at this point. But she is right, we are very flirty and the team is bound to tease us about it.

"Umm... I guess we try and brush it off as much as we can. I mean we aren't really official yet anyways." I don't really know what to say.

"What if we make it official? Do you want to be my girlfriend?" Ahhh... I wish she hadn't said that. I'm not ready, but I feel bad for saying no. I turn to look her in the eye.

"Em..."

"Oh. It's ok. Too soon. All good. I will wait forever for you." as the words come out of her mouth I feel my heart swell. Oh my god. I don't deserve her. She squeezes me tight.

"Thank you. Soon... just not yet." I whisper.

We lay there enjoying each other's presence for many minutes until my alarm went off to go to training. I go to get up but am held back by Em.

"You're not going anywhere." I stop fighting her.

"Fine. I mean it's not like I'm training anyway." I laugh at her. We stall a few more minutes before actually getting up and getting ready.
