as soon as i step foot into their house i'm hit with a comforting smell. it reminds me of home. i don't really know how to explain it but it has a very good vibe to it.

i'm knocked out of my thoughts, almost literally by a loud ethan.

"guys get down here!" ethan yells wanting everyone to come downstairs.

one by one wrangler members that i've profiled for weeks trot down the stairs confused.

"who's this?" grayson asks rudely. i'm slightly offended but i brush it off.

"this is alex." ethan introduces me carefully.

"she your new girl toy?" aaron asks. i cut in almost immediately.

"HA! funny. im far from that actually." i answer.

"i'm confused someone explain what's happening" hayes speaks up. my head turns to him.

"it's a long story so sit down. we have explaining to do." ethan moves over to the couch and i follow sitting next to him.

"okay...." grayson says sitting across from me. he looks at me up and down very rudely. again i brush it off not wanting to let it bother me.

ethan looks at me i guess at a loss for words so i roll my eyes and open my mouth to speak.

"okay since ethan doesn't wanna say i will. so for the past about a week and a half, ethan and i have been meeting up in secret. i'm a member of the faceless." i say causing everyone to immediately get angry.

"calm down. i'm not here to fuck with anyone. i'm not blaine. he's actually the reason i'm here. ethan and i made a deal because we all have common ground. i hate blaine and so do you. i want out of that gang so bad and the only way to do that is with help.

so i followed ethan one night and he caught me. i told him that if he got me out of the faceless i'd help him destroy blaine. which i would love to see because i hate that man." i finish my sentence and then ethan cuts me off.

"we have been planing and setting things up for a week now and she's proved herself. trust me." grayson is still extremely tense but a couple of them relax after ethan says this.

we explain the current situation and plan to them and a lot of them are on board. grayson stays almost dead silent the whole time shooting daggers at me with his dark eyes.

what the hell is his problem?

once we all had a common understanding i decided it was getting late and i need to get home.

i expected to walk all the way home by myself, but ethan actually offered to walk me back as far as the alley. he can't be seen near the pit. especially with me.

we exited the house, closing the garage door. we started walking in silence at first but then ethan brought up conversation.

which he's never really done before. he's always been super closed off and cold. i've never seen ethan i've only seen the fierce gang leader.

"why did you join the faceless?" he asks.
