-a week later-
ethan and i had arranged to meet up at an overlook outside of town. it was secluded and a nice calm place to talk.
it was different than our little alley for once. i walked to the top and saw that ethan was there before me. figures. he has car. i have ✨legs✨.
"hey" i said making him turn around. he doesn't have a certain readable emotion, but he doesn't look as stone cold as he used to.
"hey lex" he replied.
"what'd you wanna talk about?" i asked sitting down on a large rock by the edge of the cliff.
"just some last minute questions about tomorrow" he said sitting next to me.
"okay shoot." i said simply.
"what time will you be there?" ethan asks me.
"i told blaine we should arrive at noon." i answer. ethan nods and takes a deep breath.
"this has to work lex" ethan says with a nervous look on his face.
"hey" i place my hand on his shoulder and he looks at me. "we've been preparing for this nonstop. if this by any means goes wrong i promise you i won't stop until blaine is dead. no matter what." ethan smiles slightly.
i smile back and ethan looks down. silence takes over as i look in front of me at the view of the city.
"i trust you." ethan breaks the silence. my head turns to look at him and i smile.
"i trust you too." i sent him another reassuring smile.
-
ethan and i walked down to his car and he offered to drive close to the pit. i obviously took the offer because that sure beats walking home.
we both talked, while soft music played in the background.
he dropped me off two blocks away just to be safe and i walked the rest. when i had entered the pit, it was chaotic but productive.
over the last week, blaine, sam, kane, and i have been assigning missions and training some of the faceless members we chose to carry out this mission.
front lines were training their gun skills, the secondaries (behind the front line) are training fighting skills and gun skills.
along with other groups practicing memorizing the layout of the warehouse.
i walk past everyone and grab a water from the fridge.
"how was your run?" kingsman asks from behind me.
i love kingsman and it really sucks that he most likely will hate my guts tomorrow.
"it's was good. getting a lot better at cardio." i say. "how's training going?" i ask him.
"pretty good. i'm done for the day, but i'll probably go over the blue print again later." he says seriously.
"you're more than prepared kings" i say sincerely.
"thanks" he says. "how're you feeling ab this boss lady?" i chuckle at the name.
"i'm not the boss lady, but i am nervous. if this doesn't work i'm gonna take the fall for this." i say nervously.
it's true. i'm gonna take the fall from faceless and wranglers.
"it's a good planned mission. i'm proud of you." he says. my heart breaks a bit. he's gonna hate me so much.
"thanks kings." i say. he smiles at me and heads upstairs.
i slowly close my eyes and lean against the counter with my head in my hands.
i cant even tell max what will actually happen tomorrow. so if i do make it out, he'll think i deserted him.
and then he'll hate me too.
fucking bitch what have i gotten myself into.
