after our city night, and hotel night, things were starting to feel better. well the relationship was at least. sex just wasn't there.....sorry gray. but it's been about two weeks since that night and i can definitely say i'm more comfortable being with grayson now than i was.

anyways, i'm going to go see ethan today. grayson isn't coming with because he's needed in some meeting i guess. i don't know. i wasn't invited but i really want to make sure ethan is doing okay.

"hey babe i'm leaving." i walk up to him and press a quick kiss on his lips.

"be safe" he says. i nod and begin to walk off. "oh, and our two months is tonight so when you get home start getting ready okay?

"i have more questions about this, but will do. see you soon" i walked into of the house, and to the car.

"hey e" my feet carried me over to the spot next to his hospital bed. "i miss you a lot."

"when you wake up there's a lot i need to tell you. i just hope that you won't hate me when i do." i softly place my hand onto his, and finish my speaking. "please wake up soon" i said as one single tear slipped from my eye.

as if i wasn't crying enough i sure as shit had a heart attack. my hand was placed onto ethans limp hand. but instead, i felt him attempt to grab my hand that was on his.

"oh my god" i placed both of my hands on his one hand and looked up to his face. his eyes were still closed but i think he was trying to open them.

i stood up and brushed some of the hair off of his forehead.

"come on e you got this you can do this don't give up." i said softly. his heart monitor began to speed up slightly.

that's good. it was moving past the resting speed.

"ethan?" i said as his eyes slightly opened. "ethan!" i said happily with tears streaming down my face.

i guess the nurses heard me and rushed in. they pulled me out of the room and closer the door.

why? i don't know. but i did know i needed to call grayson.

on the phone:

"GRAYSON HES AWAKE" i said before grayson could even think of saying hello

"wait wait what i-i'm on my way" he says before hanging up the phone.

i paced back and forth in the hallway outside of ethans room while the doctors are in there. i don't know why it's taking so long but i'm pretty sure they're gonna have to do tests and stuff now that he's awake.

i'm trying to be patient but i'm very anxious.

"LEX" i hear graysons low but very loud voice call. i ran to him and engulfed him in a hug.

i cry harder out of nerves and happiness.

"i-i was just telling him that i missed him like usual. i put my hand on his for comfort and he moved to grab my hand back. and his eyes they were opening." i said quickly.

"why aren't we in there?" grayson asked kind of shaking in his voice along with his hands around my waist.

"the doctors rushed in and made me leave. they've been in there for at least 20 minutes. i think they're running tests and stuff i don't know." i answered.

suddenly to door opens to ethans room and the doctors come out telling us we could enter again. grayson places his arm around my shoulder holding me close. i think he's nervous. why wouldn't he be?

i wrapped my arm around his lower waist bc i was nervous too to be honest.

"hey e" i said sniffling.

"oh um he can't talk right now. his brain is still waking up so he can't really form motors skills at the moment." the doctor says walking in.

"i can talk doc" his voice comes out as a struggled whisper. kind of like mine did when i woke up.

"i stand corrected. welcome back mr. dolan" he says to ethan.

"we missed you so so much bup." grayson spoke guiding us closer to ethan.

"missed you too....god i know your face..... i know you're my twin brother but i cant remember your name." he forces out.

"that's normal. he's gonna know you but has to put names to faces again." the doctor clarifies.

"so he didn't forget me?" grayson asks.

"no assclown i know you." ethans struggled voice says. graysons and i chuckle.

"grayson." he says.

"oh that's right" ethan says before looking to me.

"i missed you so much e" i said.

"i'd love to say the same....you look familiar but i just don't know?" ethan turns to the doctor. the doctor looks at me and asks me what my relation to ethan is.

"it's complicated. but, i'm graysons girlfriend and ethans best friend basically." i answer.

"graysons girlfriend? he doesn't have one?" ethan asked.

"lets just talk about this later, but ethan it's me....alex?" i say starting to get really really scared.

"oh....alex? you look like i should know you but i just don't." he says flatly.

and just like that my heart shattered. right there.
