"you got it?" kingsman asked after going through the plan with me.

"yep" i answered. i loaded the gun kingsman had given me and put on a black hoodie to try and conceal my identity.

feels like old days. yuck.

"you ready for this?" he asks nervously.

"as ready as i'll ever be." i answer. he nods and opens the door. he motions that the hallway is clear and i follow him out of the hostage room i was in.

3 hallways. 7 rooms. 2 flights.

hall way number one passes 2 rooms, leading into hallway number two.

i count down each room and hallways since my life quite literally depends on it.

hallway number two: 3 rooms, leads to the stairs to get onto the main level floor of wherever the hell we are. we haven't come across any faceless members trying to stop us, so we're pretty lucky for right now.

ETHANS POV.

we've been looking for days. we raided the faceless organization's house or whatever you call it.

no one was there and it looked like no one had been there in a while. when we went through the rooms, we found alex's old room and tried to maybe look for something that could lead us to her.

nothing.

the next day we tried to trace the possible steps that alex could've been taken. nothing.

-

"trace it damnit!" i yelled in frustration and stress. aaron typed faster, as i rushed him to trace the location of the cellphone alex used.

"whatever phone alex used doesn't even exist anymore. i don't know how or why this is happening but it's like a very complex burner phone." i hit the table with my fist in anger and swore under my breath.

"there has to be a certain area you can track, right? faceless couldn't have gone very far to take her." i started to think. "she was taken only a two hours before we got home, right? so that means that they have to be within the state still." i turned and sat down in front of my computer.

"grayson!" i yelled.

"yeah?" he yelled back from upstairs.

"i need you to use fbi tracking software to find an area for us to narrow down where alex might be." grayson walked down stairs and nodded once i had finished talking.

"got it." he pauses and looks at me before speaking again. "listen man, we're gonna find her. she's smart, strong, and sneaky. she's gonna be okay." he consoled. i nodded and he went to call our connection at the fbi.

my fingers quickly typed on the screen as i tried to get into the public surveillance systems around our house.

the street in front of our house shows blaine leaving the premises and driving off, after figuring out what road he drove on, i followed each public surveillance system that showed the route he took.

i was convinced. i was very much so convinced that this would lead me to her.

until a certain county didn't own any public surveillance systems within their county lines. so i lost track of them.

"i got it." grayson comes into the room with his laptop and sets it down. "okay so the highlighted area is the possible area that the faceless could be. now, the buildings big enough to hold the amount of people the faceless have are spread around the highlighted area, but there's only 14 buildings that fit." grayson speaks.

"14?? there's no way we can search 14 buildings in one day that's over half way through." i say stressfully.

suddenly a lightbulb goes off in my head.

"wait a minute..." i turn grayson computer towards me and begin to type.

"the area highlights half of the county were in and half of the next county over. i already followed blaine out of our county and into the next one, so we can narrow it down further to anything there." i finished typing before the red box shrinks.

"now that leaves 6 places that alex could be. and it looks like 3 of those are warehouses and 3 are abandoned buildings that were most likely insane asylums and hotels and such. so assuming they have to keep her locked up somewhere, the only plausible places are the warehouses. they would have the resources needed to hold a hostage." i concluded. 3 dots appeared on the screen marking the 3 warehouses that could be the location.

we did a quick drive by at first to the closest location. there was not a single car or soul there, along with the location being very close to other things, which isn't ideal for an operation like this.

time to go to the next one...

ALEX POV

we made it up the stairs. one hallway, two rooms, and one exit door left.

except we ran into two men this time. kingsman acted quickly and shot one. the other drew his gun but i shot him in the shoulder befor he could do anything. i didn't do anything fatal because i don't want to be responsible for the death of any human.

but the problem is, now that loud ass gunshots have been heard, this just got a whole lot harder to get out under the radar.

oh boy

-

ETHANS POV

second location: a few cars hidden around the sides of the building, along with windows showing what's inside of this building.

it was sort of hard to see, but as if we got extremely lucky, in the top floor window i saw 3 men running past the window with guns.

"this is it boys, go! go!" i yelled. we turned into the warehouse and got everything ready.

-

ALEX POV

"shit they're all gonna come after us now" kingsman said running past the two injured men.

"we have to just book it at this point. there one more room and then a turn to get to the door." i said running behind him.

"shit" i look up and see 3 more armed men ready to fire. one shot at me but i dove into the room beside me. kingsman came after, but only to take some sort of cover. he slightly stuck his head it and shot a couple bullets at the men.

i tried to do the same but missed. shooting people just isnt for me.

"two down. we're gonna have to just risk it for this one." i nodded and took a deep breath.

"on three, we both step out and just shoot. let's hope it's him that gets hit and not us." i say.

"one"

"two"

"three"

we both step out and shoot.

something must've happened. one minute i'm looking at the man at the end of the hall, the next i'm looking at the ceiling.

my ears are picking up sound, and my brain isn't understanding with going on. i feel a very painful pinch on my leg. the pain grows worse and worse, as the seconds pass by.

my eyes travel down to my leg and that's when it hits me.

i've been shot.
