30 minutes. t h i r t y.
my mind is still blank. i don't have a plan. which is weird because i ALWAYS have a plan.
i've thought a couple ways to get out but there's too many loose ends that could undo the entire mission.
kingsman was supposed to let the boys know to just stay away, so that they'd be safer. so they're not a problem.
but kingsman and i are the only ones in on this. two against an entire evil gang......the odds are not in our favor.
i sat back on the chair staring at the two sided mirror. if you look hard enough you can see the office they have built on the other side.
i've been everywhere in the pit and this is not part of it. meaning that this place i'm in could be anywhere. but realistically, it's most likely in the area still. blaine was always big on hiding in plain sight.
it's kind of a good thing i was forced to know him so well. because this just makes my job easier.
he goes to sleep and wakes up at the same time every day. he's big on routine. so every night, i have a free pass. unless he's ordered people to watch me over night.
he might've. this one i don't know.
but kingsman obviously has the keys or key code to the door that leads into this room that i'm in. so the way out is obviously through that door.
kingsman can open it and lead me out but if i know one thing, i know blaine has doubled the security here, now that i'm present.
meaning kingsman and i both could die if we made one wrong move. and i really don't feel like it right now.
so our best option is to find the hour when the halls are the most empty and get kingsman to somehow bring him and i a weapon.
that way if we don't get seen, we can just shoot and run. but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
i hear the door unlock again, showing kingsman. he shits the door and lifts up his shirt.
(A/N but editing: i refuse to fix my "shits the door" typo bc it is just too funny)
"what in gods name are you doing?" i ask rising up from my chair.
"chill alex i had to be able to hide these without it being completely obvious i stole them and brought them to a hostage." he pulls out a roll of paper, and a phone.
"what's this?" he hands me the two items and i sit on the cold cement floor.
first i unroll the paper and it's two layers of blue prints. i assume they're the blue prints of the building where in.
"we are here in the basement level." his finger points the a small room which is us. "the closest exit to us is the side exit by the fire escape stairs. i nod and trail my eyes down the quickest path to get from here to there.
"3 hallways, 7 rooms, 2 flights." i said counting how much we had to pass to get there.
"what's the phone for?" i ask.
"i don't know the number to get ahold of ethan. you do." he says that part quieter. i nod.
my fingers dial the number and after 2 rings it picks up.
"whos this?" i hear ethans stone cold voice.
"it's me" i say.
"alex?? where are you? how'd you get a phone? are you okay?" he's throwing questions at me faster than i can answer.
"ethan hold on. i cant tell you because i dont really know, but i'm okay. we're gonna get out of here. i just need you to promise me something."
"what is it?" he asks.
"promise me you won't come looking for me. i need you to stay safe. blaine wants you and grayson dead. please trust me on this. it's a trap. kingsman and i are gonna get out of here." i explain.
"alex no." ethan persists.
"ethan. i need you to just stay put." i hang up the phone and clear the number from the phones history and block it. done.
"okay so i need to know what time the halls are the least busy and how to shut off that room behind there." i point at the two way mirror.
"between 9 and 7. i can't turn those cameras off, but it will notify blaine and the two five stripes. so we have approximately 3 minutes before they get down here or send people looking.
"can you get us weapons?" i ask.
"i can try" he says unsure.
"good. how about tonight?" i offer.
"let's do it." he says. i let out a breath.
you got this.
