Growing as the child of both prominent people in my city made a big impact to my life. I grew up having responsibilities in my shoulders that I need to carry in a very young age. I, myself being the only child pressured me of topping the classes that I join or even winning every contests that I present. Everyone thought that it was easy and just a piece of cake for me but... they're wrong.

"Dok, hanap ka na po sa loob." A person stopped me from getting deep with my thoughts as I finally returned to the real world, the reality I'll never escape.

Dammit, I really got consumed by my own stupid thoughts. Drifting from the past is never good.

"I'll..." I sighed. "Sabihin mo susunod na ako, I'll just sign some of these documents."

Gemma looked reluctant and worried when I lifted my gaze up to her.

"I'm fine, don't worry. Susunod na ako."

"Sigurado ka, dok?"

I chuckled. "Yes, I am so go now."

I sighed again for maybe the second time before closing my eyes.

It was a mistake I know, but that mistake never left me, it haunted me instead.

My parents owned several businesses and it includes some hospital pero hindi ako nagtrabaho doon. I want to stand up on my own and work until I reach the top. I don't want to rely on them forever.

I fixed my hair and the clothes I'm wearing before I decided to join the others inside the meeting room. Hindi naman ako importante talaga, two years' pa lang akong nagtratrabaho dito and maybe some of the directors saw that I have potential.

"Good morning, sorry I'm late." I greeted as I entered the room.

All the Doctors are here, even some of the nurses and residential doctors. I'm just not sure though but having almost all the Doctors working here gave it away.

"We're still waiting for someone." She answered with a slightly worried face that made me more curious.

"Who?" I'm clearly innocent here. Dammit, ano ba ang nangyayari?

"The new owner of this hospital, pinadala ni Dok Sanchez ang memo kahapon, bakit parang lutang ka diyan?"

"Oh, that." I grimaced. "I haven't got the chance to read the memo. I also almost forgot that we're having this today dahil sa pagod ko siguro kahapon."

I was too damn tired yesterday when I received the memo kaya siguro hindi ko na binasa ang lahat, only the first part.

"Kakarating mo lang pala kahapon galling Nevada no? Kamusta ang operasyon mo doon?"
