Boy _ Friend

"Take good care of Leon okay? My mom told me at humarap sa pinsan kong si Ace "Drive safely iho."

"Yes tita, I will take good care of them. Mauuna na po kami." Paalam niya.

Today is Sunday, my little brother, Leon has a school activity to attend to in the mall.

My mom asked me and my cousin Ace to go with him since may pupuntahan sila at busy yung iba naming pinsan.

My little brother is just 5 years old, he's in kindergarten and very baby ng pamilya namin dahil siya pangalawang pinakabata. The baby of  our whole clan is actually Ace's baby sister, baby Lexi, she's just 2 years old.

"Mish, tungkol saan nga ulit yung event ni Leon?" Ace asked while driving.

"Art event siya, pagandahan mag color. Tapos may drawing contest din ata."

"Alright, gisingin mo na si Leon. We're almost there."

"Okay." I did as what he told. Pagkapasok sa mall dumeretso kami sa may activity area ng event kung saan madami nang mga bata na nagtatakbuhan.

"Leon, stay with kuya Ace ha? Magreregister lang ako" tumango ang kapatid ko at iniwan ko muna sila.

Inayos ko ang registration ng kapatid ko at bumalik na para hanapin sila. Nang namataan ko si Leon agad akong lumapit at nakita kong hindi si Ace ang kasama niya. It's no other than Flint. Bakit siya nandito?

"Hi Mischa!" masayang bati niya. Hindi ko siya pinansin at hinila ang kapatid ko.

Lumuhod ako upang lumebel kami "Leon, mama said don't talk to strangers. Bakit kasama mo siya? Nasaan si Kuya Ace?"

"He's Kuya Ace's friend, he's not a stranger." My brother answered innocently while I glared at Flint.

Lumuhod din siya para pumantay samin "Nag CR si Ace. And he's right, I'm not a stranger. I'm a trusted friend of Ace and yours. Your brother is smart."

"You're ate's friend too, Kuya Flint?"

"Yes baby boy. Im your ate's boy friend."

"You're ate's boyfriend?"

"No, not boyfriend but boy na friend. I'm hoping for the first choice though, but it's kinda hard." He chuckled.

I glared at him again "Kung ano ano sinasabi mo sa kapatid ko. Nandito na ako, I can take care of him now, pwede ka nang umalis."

"No, ate. Wait. Sabi ni Kuya Flint magaling siya magdrawing so I asked him to join the contest with me."

"WHAT?"

"Yuh, I promised the kid, so let me do it."

"No, Leon we don't need him. I can join you or si Kuya Ace."

"But ate, both you and kuya Ace's drawing are so poor. I already tested Kuya Flint's skills. Look." sabay pakita ng isang papel na may drawing ng cartoon. "He passed."

"With flying colors." Flint added.

Napasapo ako sa noo. Flint and his tricks that I can't handle.

"Urgh! Whatever."

I was in so bad mood while the three boys in front of me are laughing happily. Close na sila agad.

When the contest starts, tumayo kami ni Ace sa may barricade para makita sila ng mas mabuti at makunan ng pictures.

My heart feels weird as I watch how Flint makes my brother laugh. How could he be so good in so many things? He looks so much better while seriously guiding my brother to draw.
