Chapter 13; Take Flight

I'm going to be skipping over doing Episode 5, i don't think there would be much i would change so yeah, you participated in the baseball game, got a bit jealous/upset when you saw Ruby and Sapphire flirting with each other, was extremely proud when Sapphire hit that home run and that was basically it. However in this chapter i will be basing off Season 3 Episode 6, as i think with your water wings could make a different in the plot, so here we go

Your P.O.V
We warp in
"We're home!!" I say excited
"Woohoo!" Steven adds
We say hello to every room in the house. I walk to the fridge
"I'm hungry, time for fooood" i say opening the door, a wave of some disgusting smell hits me and i fall back
"What is that disgusting smell?" I say gasping for air
"Oh no, did that cake go bad?" Amethyst says coming up from behind me
"That was a cake!?" I say shocked
Everyone laughs at my silliness
"Hey, it's ok (y/n), let's go get a donut" Steven says
"Donuts!!" I cheer as i run out the door
Steven follows me and we head to the Big Donut to see Sadie closing up, Sadie turns around to see us running up
"Oh hey Steven, hey (y/n), you missed all the Earthquakes and Tsunamis" Sadie says
"I was out in the field saving the world" Steven says
"I was here for the Tsunamis, i stopped them from destroying the town! I didn't know about the Earthquakes tho" i say
"Haha, ok" Sadie says, a bit uninterested
"Are you closing up? We really wanted a donut" Steven asks
"There's gotta be at least 1 in there, we could share!" I continue, smooshing my face against the glass
"Sorry guys, I've already set the alarm for the night" Sadie says
"Awww, but Sadieee" i start
"We've been gone so long~" Steven continues, whining
"And all the food in our house went off while we were gone" i say
"And we're starving!" Both Steven and i say
"Um, I'm pretty sure Fish Pizza is still open" Sadie says
"I don't know if I'm hungry enough for a pizza" I respond
"Yeah same" Steven agrees
"But you're both starving?" Sadie questions
"No" Steven starts
"We're dying" i continue
Both of us dramatically falling to the ground pretending to be dead
"Well then, if you're both dead now, i guess you can't come by tomorrow" Sadie teases
"We won't be dead then, what happens tomorrow!?" We both say, sitting up quickly
"If you didn't know, we started baking our own donuts after that workplace safety lawsuit got thrown out, so if you get here tomorrow right when the shop opens, you two can have the very first, fresh donuts of the day" Sadie explains
"What an honour!" Steven says
"We'll be here first thing tomorrow! Right when the store opens, to taste your first delicious donuts of the day!" I say excited
"Ok, see you guys then" Sadie says as she leaves

Steven and i set the cookie cat alarm for 6:55am
"6:55am, that should give us enough time to get to the Big Donut right when it opens at 7, and we can start another beautiful Beach City day. It feels so good to be home. Hello Beach City! It's great to be back!" Steven says jumping up in the air, he jumps super high, where he's in front of the Temple's giant woman's face
"Whoa! Steven, when did you learn to do that!?" I yell
"I didn't know i could! I just did learn i guess" he says as he slowly descends
"It's like I'm super light! I can jump really high and float down really slow!" Steven explains as he jumps around testing around his new power
He ends up jumping right up, above the clouds. I take out my wings and follow him up
He looks around then sees me a bit in front of him
"When did you learn to do that!?" He asks me
"Lapis kinda taught me, it's a long story, nevermind that, how does it feel Steven?" I ask him
"It feels awesome! Beach City looks so small from up here" he says looking down at Beach City
"Yeah, it does" i say looking down as well
"Let's go jump and fly around Funland!" He says
"Hell yeah! Let's go!" I say flying to Funland, Steven tries to follow me but can't
When i notice Steven isn't behind me i fly back to him
"Let's go Steven" i say
"I don't seem to be able to move, and it looks like it's gonna take a while to land. Maybe i shouldn't of jumped so high" he says
"Oh, i know, I'll go get the Gems, they'll know what to do! I'll be right back Steven" i say, flying to the door
I slam the door open
"Steven has this new power that makes him float and he's stuck in the air, we don't know what to do, help!" I shout
The Gems and i race outside, i point to Steven
"He's there" i say
"Well? What should we do?" I ask
Garnet thinks
"What are you all doing!? Steven is falling! He needs our help! I'll catch you Steven!" Pearl screams, running around with her arms out trying to 'catch' Steven
"I think it's gonna be a while" Amethyst says watching her run around
"Shh Amethyst, this is hilarious" i say
Garnet suddenly jumps off and we hear glass smashing and car alarms in the distance, Garnet walks back to us
"I found a phone" Garnet says
"Whose is it?" Amethyst asks
"That's not important" Garnet responds
"You guys do realise i have my own phone right?" I say pulling my phone out of their pocket to show them
Garnet rings Steven and calls him, Steven picks up
"Ground control to Steven Universe" Garnet says
I chuckle at what she said, sounds like space talk
"Steven! Are you ok!?" Pearl asks frantically
"Yeah, I'm fine" He says
"See? No need to worry" i say to Pearl
"Can someone explain this new power?" I ask
"Rose could regulate the speed of her descent" Garnet explains
"Yeahh, and she could control how fast she fell" Amethyst says
"That's what i said" Garnet says
I laugh how silly this is
"Steven try falling a little faster, you're taking forever" i say
"I can't figure out how, and i know it's taking forever to reach the ground, could you guys just keep me company until i land?" Steven asks us
"Of course" we say.
I fly Steven up some apple juice and snacks, Garnet plays chess with him, Pearl and Amethyst play Pictionary with him (for those who don't know Pictionary is a game where you draw a picture and the other person has to guess what it is) using the sand and the phone Garnet, unnecessarily, stole
The sun begins to rise and i hear the alarm we had set go off
"Hey, why is that alarm going off?" Amethyst questions
"That's our alarm for going to the Big Donut, we were going to get there when it opens to get the first donuts of the day! We have to get Steven down now!" I explain
"How!?" The Gems says
"Maybe we could weigh him down?" Pearl suggests
"It's worth a shot!" I say
The Gems and i gather as much stuff as we can, the Gems jump and place it on Steven, i fly up and place it on Steven. We give him a bowling ball, a boat and a weight, it's not working, we try weighing it down ourselves, but it doesn't work
"Is there anything else we have to weigh me down?" Steven asks
"Just the alarm clock" Garnet says, showing him the cookie cat alarm clock that say 7:26am on it
"It's past 7, thanks for trying guys but there's no point anymore, sorry for making you miss out on the first donut of the day as well (y/n)....?" Steven says disappointed
"Sorry Steven" Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet says before jumping down
"It's ok Steven, i guess it just wasn't mean to be" i say, before flying down
Steven drops the stuff
"It was too meant to be" he says.
The gems are arguing on the ground, over ways to get Steven down, well, mostly Pearl and Amethyst, Garnet is silent
I look up to see Steven falling, fast, really fast, he looks panicked
"Guys! Steven is falling!!" I yell
He begins falling even faster with no hopes of stopping. I quickly bring out my water wings again and fly up, i quickly grab him and try to slow him down, it works, we hit the ground safely enough
"Guys!" He says excited, he runs up to give them a hug but Garnet stops him
"Wait! You have somewhere else to be. There's no time! Run to the Big Donut! Both of you!" Garnet yells
"Ok ok" we yell
I end up getting my water wings out again and picking up Steven and flying us to the Big donut, we smile to see Sadie is just opening up
"You're just opening!?" I ask shocked
"I thought we were late!" Steven adds
"Late? We always open at 7:30 on Sundays" Sadie says
"Ohh, duhhh" Steven and i say to each other
"Well, you're just in time, here you are, my treat" Sadie says, handing us 2 donuts
"Two fresh baked frosted donuts with sprinkles" Sadie adds
"My favourite!!" Steven says jumping up, hitting the roof
"Oh!" Sadie says
"Steven! You need to stop jumping, guy" i say
"Oh bother...." he says
