Your P.O.V Steven is making breakfast in the kitchen and the Gems are in the living room, I'm in Steven's bedroom playing video games. I stop and look at my controller "Hey guys...." i say, everyone looks at me curiously "I think i might finally be ready to visit my dad in jail....." i continue The Gems all look at me shocked, Steven stops making breakfast "A-are you sure (y/n)? It's only been a few months since he was put there, do you really feel ready to see him again" Pearl says "Hey, if she's ready don't try to talk her out of it P" Amethyst says "Well, with everything that's happened lately, me taking control of my powers, helping you guys save the world, even it it wasn't much, i feel.... powerful, like i can protect myself, but, i think i need confront my dad to move on" i explain "We understand (y/n), we support you" Steven says "And Garnet, you said if i ever wanted to visit my dad, you would go with me, if i wanted.... well i want you to come with me, please" i say to Garnet Garnet squats down so she's closer to my level, she puts her right hand on my cheeks and makes her visors disappear to look at me with the most compassion and love she physically can "Of course i will go with you, i will never not be with you when you need me there, and I'll always try my very best to be there when you want me. I'll support you (y/n), any way i can, i promise" she says to me I smile at her as tears begin forming in my eyes, she pulls me into her and hugs me tightly and i begin to softly cry, I'm crying tears of joy, i feel safe in her arms <~~ Time Skip ~~> After Steven, Amethyst and i have breakfast, i go and get changed, i want to look nice for my dad, but after feeling complete with myself, i want to show him I'm not scared of who i am. I'm not going to hide my blue hair, or my gem, not for him, not for anyone, not anymore

I get dressed into something i feel comfortable with, to show my dad he doesn't have control over me anymore, and that I'm comfortable with myself and who i am. I walk out of the bathroom "Wow (y/n), you look amazing, your dad would be a jerk if he didn't think so as well, and I'm glad you feel confident enough in yourself to show your blue hair and your gem, especially with your dad and how he was, don't you agree Garnet?" Steven says as he looks at Garnet Garnet is staring at you, she hasn't moved or said anything "Garnet? Are you ok?" I ask "Oh, yes, of course, you just look..... beautiful" Garnet comments, snapping into reality "O-oh, th-thank you G-Garnet" i say flustered, blushing madly "Anyways, let's go, i want to see my dad, i hope he's getting better" i say, bouncing out the door, pulling Garnet behind me. Since the Gems don't have a car, or a licence, Garnet and I walk to the jail my dad is being kept in, i didn't want to bother Mr. Universe and ask him for a lift, and we didn't mind the exercise "I wonder how my dad is doing in jail, do you think he's getting the help he needs? Do you think he's made any friends? I wonder what he does with all his spare time, do you think everyone treats him ok in there? What should i talk to him about when i see him? What if he doesn't want to see me? Is this a mistake!?" I ask, skipping around but as my questions got more panicked i stopped skipped and started walking slowly "I think he will be getting the help he needs, i don't know if he's made friends, he probably does jail activities, i don't think everyone would, you should tell him what you've learnt about yourself, I'm sure he would love to see you, this wasn't a mistake at all" Garnet says, as if she memorised all the answers to every question i asked, only looking at me with the last 2 answers "Thanks Garnet, I'm glad i brought you along" i say with a smile. We get to the jail and go inside "Hello, I'm here to see my dad, I'm (y/n) (y/l/n) (your last name), my dad's name is (y/d/n) (y/l/n) (your dad's name) (your last name)" i say to the person at the counter "And who is this?" The person says, pointing to Garnet "O-oh, this is Garnet, she is my.. um-" i begin "I am her moral support" Garnet cuts in "Yeah, my moral support, she's here to support me" i agree, looking up and smiling at her. The person shows us to the room with the glass windows and the seats and the phones (the ones we've all seen in any movie that includes jail, i can't describe it well, sorry) and i sit down at the window, Garnet next to me, and we both wait for my dad. We've waited for about 10 minutes now, I'm beginning to lose all hope that he'll come when suddenly, he walks through the door into the room, he sits down at the seat and looks at me blankly through the window, then at Garnet, he looks shocked as he looks at Garnet, then quickly picks up the telephone on his side, i do the same with mine "Who is that?" He says sternly, before i could say anything "D-dad, this i-is Garnet, sh-she's one of the Gems i-I've been living with.. there's Pearl, Amethyst, Garnet and a half gem half human hybrid, like me, named Steven" i respond, beginning to tremble Garnet notices how tense I'm getting and holds my hand that's on my lap under the table (thing) out of my dad's view. I instantly get calmer and more sure of myself "What are you wearing (y/n)? You're showing your disgusting unnatural blue hair and your gem with that" my dad says I know Garnet heard that because she gets a bit angry but tries not to show it "I like my blue hair, and my gem, a-and you used to tell me that's what you thought made mother so beautiful, why does it look so disgusting on me when it was so beautiful on her? I know you took her death so hard dad but I'm not my mother, I'm someone else, you can't just take it out on me and you can't blame me for her death" i confront him, he gets annoyed at my talking back, if this was back before i met the Gems this would be the part where he would hit me "Since you've been here in jail, I've learnt more about myself in the first few weeks then i did my whole life with you! Did you know i have water powers? And i have wings dad! They're made of water and they're beautiful, i can fly so far and high and it's amazing" i say, getting more and more excited "You are a human and it's unnatural for you to have any of these thing, your mother was a beautiful magnificent creature, but she was not human, you are a disgrace to her and me, and i regret having you" my dad says angrily I begin to tear up, Garnet is getting more and more mad "Your mother would be disappointed if not disgusted by you if she was still alive, i cannot believe i had to give up someone as beautiful and amazing as your mother for such a disgraceful daughter!!" My dad screams into the phone, banging on the glass in front of me Garnet has had enough, she snatches the phone from me "The only disgrace is you! The fact that you cannot support your own daughter and be happy for her and be proud of how amazing she is and how she's learning about her without you is disgusting, and i have no idea why or how you ever had custody of her before I stepped in and realised you do not deserve her. Now if you'll excuse us, I'm going to take your daughter back home with me, to where she is supported for being her, because. She is an amazing, beautiful person without you. Good. Bye" Garnet yells into the phone, she then slams it on the hook it belongs on, almost breaking it, grabs my hand with hers and storms out. We've been walking for a while, the jail is well out of sight, Garnet is still pulling me behind her by my hand. I look down at her hand, which is holding mine, then back up at her, and blush 'She got so mad on my behalf, she stood up for me and screamed at my father, she.... care about me.... a lot, to be able to do that' i think to myself, i feel my cheeks get hotter by the thought of it, remembering how angry she got over what my father said. I feel so safe with her....=
