Chapter 10; I'm Ready

This chapter is set in Season 3 Episode 2 and Episode 3, in your point of view

Your P.O.V
I put my arms up, my hands facing the wave, above my head.......
And.....
Nothing happens. The water just stops, like it's hit an invisible wall, it's amazing
"Alrighty then wave, now that I have control over you, time to get you away from my home" i say, i jump off the dock and onto the wave, i use the water to hold me up so i don't sink, and i ride the wave away from Beach City
After riding the wave for a while i see an island up ahead, a giant lady defuses on the beach
"That must be the gems!" I tell myself
I get close to the island when the ground quakes, and the wave I've been riding ripples heavily and I'm beginning to lose control over the water, i make a decision, i use the water to throw myself towards the island, which is now breaking in half
I land on a tree, hard. My stomach aches from landing on it so hard, i try to move, but i can't, i feel something squeezing tightly oh my hips, i look behind me and my hips are stuck between 2 branches
"Great..... I'm stuck, and I'm too far from the water to use my powers...... this is fantastic" i tell myself, i look around and I'm surrounded by trees and plants, no one in sight
"Please don't be a deserted island..... HELP!!!!!" I scream
No answer
I scream for help again and again, after a minute of screaming non-stop my throat and voice hurts so i stop.
I hear rustling in the distance
"Garnet stop running! She can't actually be here, the warp is broken, how would she have gotten here?" I hear Pearl say
"Bro slow downn, you're going to fast, we can't keep up" Amethyst says
I look down and see Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst, i've never been happy to see them, Garnet's carrying a blue girl who, somehow, feels..... familar, i look at the girl more closely, she has a gem on the top half of her back, it looks like...... mine
'Is that the Lapis Lazuli from Steven's story!?' I can feel myself get more and more excited
The Gems nearly walk past me before i finally say something
"Guys! I'm up here, in this tree..... I'm stuck" i say, i can feel my croaky voice with every word
The Gems all look up and search the trees around them
Finally Amethyst stops me
"Oh, hey (y/n), how'd you get up there?" Amethyst says
Garnet and Pearl finally spot me
"Oh my godness! (y/n) are you ok!? How did you get up there!? Did you injure yourself!? How did you get here!? The warp pad is broken!" Pearl yells, shocked to even see me on the island
Garnet just smiles as she looks at me, with, who i assume to be Lapis Lazuli, in her arms
"Heh, it's kinda a long story, mind getting me out of the tree, then i can show you how i got here, and get us home" i say, smiling nervously.
After The Gems get me out of the tree i take them back to the beach
"So, are you going to show us how you got here in the first place? And how do you plan to get us home?" Pearl says, questioning me
"Watch this" i wave my hands over the edge of the water and the ocean moves with my hands, i lift my hands up higher and the water lifts with my hands
"Pretty impressive huh? It just kinda happened, i was saving the Funland dock, and kinda Beach City from those massive waves and i gained kinda control of my powers" i explain, smirking cheekily at The Gems, Pearl and Amethyst both look extremely shock, Garnet looks..... proud
"I have control over the water, now all we need is a boat, Amethyst, would you mind?" I say
Amethyst snaps back into reality and looks at me confused for a second, then realises what i meant
"oh r-right, yeah sure" Amethyst says, quickly shapeshifting into a boat and floating on the water I had control over.
We all hop into the Amethyst boat, and I use the water to take us home.
<~~ Time Skip ~~>
Pearl, Amethyst, Garnet and I are sitting around Peridot (which you've met now, after taking The Gems home you finally go to the barn and met her, after rescuing the people on the dock and leaving Beach City and going to the island you realise it's not so scary out there and you feel safe enough and powerful enough with yourself to go to different places, but you still can't yet visit your dad in jail) and Steven as Peridot explains, from her point of view, what happened underground. Steven seems spaced out, looking at the barn
"I'm sure Steven can fill you in on the rest" Peridot says gesturing to Steven
"Since he's the one who saved us" Peridot continues
Steven is still spaced out
"Steven are you ok?" I ask him worried
"Hang on a sec, I'll be right back" Steven gets up and walks towards the barn
The Gems and i give each other a worried look, i follow him quickly, and Garnet joins me
I walk up to Steven as he's looking at Lapis, i put my hand on his shoulder
"I'm sure she'll be fine Steven, she just needs some rest" i say
Garnet comes up behind me
"When i saw her in my dreams, it looked like she was fighting so hard to keep Malachite from escaping" Steven explains
"Lapis spent an unbearable amount of time fused with Jasper, the emotional and physical strain of that type of fusion, i can't imagine. She's gonna need a lot of time to recover" Garnet explains
"See, she just needs some time Steven, she'll be ok" I say trying to reassure Steven
"Come on, I'm dying to hear more about what happened underground" Garnet says happily
"Me too, i bet it was super exciting and awesome!" I say smiling, pulling Steven with me back to the others
<~~ Night Time ~~>
I wake up to hear a noise coming from in the barn, Steven is still sound asleep. I get up and see what was going on
Lapis is up and about, and she has, water wings, coming out of her gem
"L-Lapis, you're up and about, and you have.. water wings?" I say, scaring her
"Wh-who are you?" She says fearfully
"Oh, I'm (y/n), I'm with the gems, and Steven, i have a Lapis Lazuli gem as well!" I say excited, turning about and lifting my PJ shirt to show her my gem
"So you can trust me...... wait, were you.... leaving?" I ask confused
"I have to..... (y/n). I don't belong on Earth, not with the Crystal Gems, i never have" she says looking away
"Oh, that's ok, i understand, i just wish i could've gotten to know you, maybe you could've helped my with my water powers, i don't have much control over them, i don't even know what i can do yet, you were the only one who could've helped me, but if you want to leave, that's ok too" I explain to Lapis, trying to reach out to her
"I.... have nowhere to go" Lapis says to me, turning around to face me
"Who knows what'd they do to me back on Homeworld after what i did to Jasper. I can't go back and i can't stay here" she explains to me
'Homeworld? What's that?' I think to myself, making a mental note to ask the gems later
"Why can't you? It's doesn't have to be here here, like at the barn. You don't even have to stay in Beach City if you don't want to, there's a whole world out there you could live in" i say excited
Lapis looks at me shocked by what I'm saying
"I could show you around if you'd like...." i say nervously
"O-ok" Lapis says
"Hey, could you teach me how to get my water wings? I didn't even know i had them...." i say nervously
"O-oh, right"
Lapis and I fly around, I'm still getting used to this new ability
"I feel like a baby bird learning to fly for the first time, hehe, do i look like one?" I ask Lapis
"What's a bird?" She asks me
"Oh, right, you don't really know anything about the Earth" I say
I carefully fly down to the trees below us and pick a leaf off a tree
"Look Lapis, this is a leaf, usually they're green but the seasons are changing, so the leaves are changing from green to orange, soon all of them will change and then the leaves will behind to fall off the trees, that's why we call it Fall, isn't it amazing?" I explain
"Yeah..." she says looking at the leaf with a small blush
"What do you think about living here?" I ask
"I'm not sure...." she says
"That's ok! There's still so many places, come on, I'll show you Empire City next!" I say, trying to fly faster
